Pink
|
Released: 3rd April 2006.
After less than three years Pink returns to the music scene to prove she's definetely "not dead".
Her fourth studio album features the big hit "Stupid Girls", a sarcasticly critical song about vanity, encouraging girls to have their own style rather than aspire to be Jessica Simpson.
The rest of the album follows in a similar veine of attitude, controversial lyrics and great vocal performances abundant. Tracks like "Who Knew" (the second single), "Long Way To Happy", "I'm Not Dead", "U + Ur Hand", "Leave Me Alone (I'm Lonely)" and "Centerfold" (bonus track in UK) are Pink at her best.
Slower numbers have a place on this album too, with "I Got Money Now" and the political "Dear Mr. President".
Some songs lack originality, like "Fingers" and "Cuz I Can", but are still worth listening to. Make sure you don't miss "I Have Seen The Rain", a hidden track offering a different vibe to the rest of the album.
Full of criticism and sarcasm, "I'm Not Dead" is one of Pink's best.
