Is it going to be third time lucky for British soul singer Terri Walker? Depends what you call "lucky".

It sounds like after the more commercial second album "L.O.V.E.", Walker reaches back to her debut "Untitled" for inspiration on the founding blocks of "I Am".

Understated production, raw and live sound plus the unmistakable vocals make this one of the finest releases of 2006. Favourites include the addictive "I Am", as well as the slow jam "Forever And A Day" and the astonishing "I Don't Care".

If delivering an artist-defining, critically acclaimed collection of songs is what Walker was after, she can count herself lucky, for it has worked.
