Released: 5th June 2006.
After creating a tsunami over the charts with her debut single "I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker (With Flowers In My Hair)", Sandi follows it up swiftly with the release of her debut album. Everyone knows her story - she broadcast a truck load of gigs from her basement, got a record deal and the rest is history as it were. "When Horsepower Meant What It Said" is a decent reply to fellow singer KT Tunstall's "Black Horse And The Cherry Tree", with the same bouncing riff and raw vocals, but Sandi is more than just another KT. The album contains its fair share of ballads, with the epic "Lonely Girl" and the sweet "Superman". Shoe-in single "What If I'm Right?" provides the album's biggest highlight, while "Human Jukebox" would not be out of place on a soundtrack to a Western film. The LP is a winning formula to win Sandi the respect and following she needs.
