I'm not sure whether I should post this in the dance forum, considering that you could dance to at least half of the tracks I'm about to present to you, but anyway, here it goes.
Oh, something else: As I've said somewhere before, my chart is not only comprised of singles, nor of songs that were strictly released within 2003.
For #10, songs like Simply red's Fake and Plummet's Damaged were considered, but...
10
Noir desir - Le vent nous portera
Mesmerizing ballad by one of the finest rock bands in France.
Released a couple of years ago, but I only first heard it last January.
9
Mikro - Gefyra
The best electronic band in Greece offered this haunting dance number this year.
8
Bertine Zetlitz - Girl like you
One of the most beautiful pop songs this year comes from Norway.
7
Venus hum - Montana
My 7th favourite song this year comes from the USA. I've raved on enough about this group so I won't bore you with any other comments of praise about them.
6
Moloko - Familiar feeling
Next stop : UK
Both the album version and the Robbie Riviera mix of this song are superb pieces of music. Spent 3 weeks at the top of my chart at the very start of this year and I still love it.
And yes, Roisin is a goddess in her own right.
More later.
