    • They didn’t count vidéo views or what? What kind of mess

      • What were you expecting?
Around #30 was my max. expectation.

Last week on Hits, it had 1.6k pure sales, 475 from TEA and 9.3k SEA.
This week she has 2.9k pure sales, 649 TEA and 11k SEA.

1.7k more from streaming = 2.55 million streams more than last week.
Yes, it seems a bit low considering the video must have done around 4 million streams in US alone...
And 911 had much more audio streams than last week...
But remember only views from logged in accounts count for charts, so...
It should have around 4 million more streams than last week.
Even with 4 million instead of 2.5, it'll mean 1k more, which will put her at #32 instead of #36.
        Not much of a change.

Maybe it's a bit higher on Billboard.

Anyway, a 13 spots climb and 28% increase is good.

        • Oh well... let’s see on billboard
also the weird thing is that Chromatica was top 50 that week on Apple Music and around 80 last week so... something’s off

I guess any kind of promo could easily send it back to Top 20 at least, don't you think?

              • Day after day, this is losing the hype of the music video.

                • I mean it’s sad that "911" didn’t become the hit that at least I hoped it would be but the video did give the album a push basically everywhere and at the end of the day that’s what a single is supposed to do right? It’s supposed to sell the album. So that’s good.

So you were expecting that, just because a music video was released, 911 will be charting in top 10 everywhere this week, despite no radio, no playlists and being a 3rd single or what?
Has that ever happened with anyone in the streaming era?

Saying “it didn’t become the hit I hoped it would be”... when it’s not even been sent to radio yet in the big markets... It’s way toooo soon.

I always said that, a 3rd single, whatever it was, would be lucky to become a top 40 hit. In best case scenario.
But if it is bound to happen, it was definitely not going to happen this week.

I’ll wait for the official announcement as rumours say it’ll have new tracks as well.

If it’s only a box set with that content, only hardcore fans will buy it to have another edition.
So it better have some new material as well!

                                • Thank god ‘Rain On Me’ still stable even when being out of Today’s Top Hits. So Interscope spends 0 money on her chart performance and still profits, i just wish she leave that label and go to Republic.

I don’t think changing the label would change anything. She has her liberty with INTERSCOPE and she’s there for that. The rest doesn’t matter to her.

Now let’s wait they update her certifications on the official Pro-Musica website... Joanne was certified Platinum according to Universal and it’s not even there yet three years later.

It would be great if it pulled a 'Girls Like You', of course. I would say that before 'Girls Like You', there's been even less interest in the 'Red Blue Pill' era than in 'Chromatica'. The music video appealed to many people, then radios jumped on the train and the rest is history. In Gaga's case, I fear that only the fans took note of the music video and they already own the album, so they will neither stream the song nor buy the album again. The mainstream does not know this song even exists though.

                                                  Nigeria - #98

A bit off topic, but posting this chart I've realized how extremely different Youtube consumption is around the world.
I already knew it, but watching these figures I've seen how a #10 in... for example, Bolivia, has the same views than a #3 in Australia... considering Bolivia has a population of 11M and Australia 26M.
Or the UK #1 having the same views as the #10 in Spain, when UK has 10M more population...
Spanish speaking countries really love Youtube...

Also, while for Spotify, US usually represent around 20-25% of her streams, it's "just" a 16% in this case, even surpassed by Brazil (they always stan hard!).
35.5% of total views are coming from Central and South America.

Also... watching this being the 9th most popular music video of the week and that it had an impact in basically every country in the world... but 911 not making the charts anywhere this week, makes you wonder if Youtube shouldn't be included in most countries' official charts (currently only in a few countries), as it's definitely a way of music consumption for many many people...

                                                  • YOUTUBE is super BIG in

                                                    Latin America
                                                    South East Asia
                                                    South Asia

i think it's because of POPULATION and the majority still consuming music through Youtube in comparison to the first-world countries (Anglosphere and the big music markets) which is now on SPOTIFY/AM/Deezer Era
