what do you think?
Australia - #17 (+12)
Besides the usual weekends falls, it has 6 Bad Bunny songs ahead on the global chart and 2 in US.
So fine for me.
I wanted it to stay in Top 10 in UK, though.

Blinding Lights is #1 on Spotify and AM in UK, though, so probably #1 once streaming is added, but the difference on sales is quite big. so we'll see!
Let's see if she can be top 10 on UK charts by the end of the week.

She is #16 on Spotify and BL has double the streams. I doubt she'll pull through since sales will decline hard on DeadTunes during the week. Upper Top 10 should be safe though (maybe even Top5), which is already a good improvement from PI.

Even Shallow had a hard time on Apple Music in US compared to Spotify.
AM is growing a lot everywhere but it’s smaller than Spotify in most countries outside US.
It’s officially sent to AC/HAC tomorrow and to Pop on Tuesday.
i mean, i didn't expect it to slay apple music but 47 as a peak position is still seems a little low for me. for example selena reached no 1 on apple music with LYTLM, taylor reached no 1 with "ME", billie reached top 15 with her new single and top 10 with everything i wanted, even dua reached top 30 with "don't start now". it's not that bad, but i think it'll hurt her in billboard, apple music is an important thing for billboard(i hope she'll debut high but it'll be hard).
how do you think sending the single to the pop& HAC radio will effect it? can it give it a big boost?

do you know where apple music is a big part of streaming outside of NA?

Spotify
Day 1: 5,651,590
Day 2: 4,413,022
10,064,612
Better than expected!
Let's see the numbers on spotifycharts once they update.
Bad Bunny released a new album yesterday and he's obviously smashing on Spotify... so probably out of Top 10 global, but not in US.

She’s not appealing to the same audience with this song as she was with ASIB.

Let's be honest - most people who LOVED A Star is Born and Joanne do not listen to pop/dance songs like Stupid Love. SL is perfect for her gay stans but not for the general public.

Some people are just too much, that's all I'm saying now. Anyways, glad it's having great support from streaming services as well. I feel like this will stick around way longer than "Perfect Illusion". It has that vibe that it's very radio/streaming-friendly by not being too in-your-face.
With that said, I'm very disappointed by her Spotify debut here in Switzerland. We stanned HARD for the ASIB era plus "Million Reasons" was a big hit here as well, so I thought she'd easily make the Top10 here.

I agree with MrLeonix that this song was going to do good because of the hype after such a fantastic era. But you never can take success for granted, and numbers are not just good but very good!
IMO, although I like other artists more, Lady Gaga is a great artist, has a vision and puts 100% of her in everything she does, so this great moment should only be praised.

The salty attitudes on here towards her are something else.
She could’ve debuted with 30m on Spotify and stopped world hunger and you’d still find a way to discredit her.
Hopefully she has a good day today as ‘dance’ hits (songs you would go out to..) tend to perform well on a weekend. We shall see.
It’s better to not feed the trolls, so please ignore him or report.
I guess the song will fall tomorrow on Spotify everywhere as weekends are always pretty bad for new songs and they always fall on Saturdays and Sundays after the New Music Friday’s push. People listen to hits on weekends.
But hopefully won’t drop much and it can stabilize on Monday.

Can someone explain why the numbers on Spotify Charts are lower?

Disapponting numbers. It debuted behind songs like Dance Monkey and Don't Start Now which have been hits since Nov 19. I would have thought the ASIB hype would be enough to debut above those songs. Guess not.

When there's a comeback involved (In most occasions) the next lead single enjoys the benefit of the first week hype.
Example 1: Mariah Carey bombs with "Glitter" and "Charmbracelet" then pulls a comeback with "The Emancipation Of Mimi" --> Result --> Big hype on first week for "Touch My Body" (no one acts surprised that TMB did better than "Through The Rain" which was following messy "Glitter" era).
Example 2: P!nk declines with "Try This" (In America) then pulls a comeback with "I'm Not Dead" (In America) --> Result --> Better hype for "So What" which even became her first solo #1 in America (no one acts surprised that SW did better than "Trouble"),
Example 3: Britney falls from grace then pulls a comeback with "Circus" --> Result --> Huge hype for "Hold It Against Me" on first week (no one acts surprised that HIAM was pulling better first week numbers than "Gimme More" which followed a dark period)
Let's see Gaga: Gaga pulls a messy era with "Artpop" and experiences a decline during "Joanne" then pulls a comeback with "A Star Is Born" --> Result --> Automatic hype for "Stupid Love" on first week.
...see the pattern? ... "Stupid Love" was always going to do better (at least on first week) than "Perfect Illusion". That's what I meant.

In my humble opinion this is won't likely be smashing in a couple weeks. She better secures a stronger second single.Last edited by MrLeonix; Sat February 29, 2020, 16:23.

We,Brazilians, are so devoted to her .
What makes her Spotify position even more amazing is that this is the end of the Carnival week .
Local acts dominate the market all year long here but ,this week in particular, the country literally stops to celebrate for a full week .
Nothing works here and everyone is on the streets partying (embarrassing but true)
Which means that more than ever, almost only local acts get good numbers.
Amazing!
