Yes, I’ve been wondering if the video would get more views thank Batuka, and I think it’s a decent benchmark for judging the success of the video.

I just don’t get why some people don’t see this as a little side project that she wasn’t even planning. It’s just a thing that happened and she decided to nudge it along to see what it might become.

Honey, her peak was in the 80/90's and middle of 00's. Current pop stars have hit singles and Madonna has a career. That's normal. I'm here for the old and new Madonna, but I don't hope that she gets a another hit single with 63 yo. I'm so happy that her catalog has been appreciated for old and new fans.

    Some things never change.

People were annoyed with her looks, her fashion, her image, her voice, her hair, her belly button, her attitude, her drive, her ambition, her bra, her nudes, her everything, back in the 1980s. Forty years later it’s the exact same criticism and it’s still boring.

Madonna is no longer a singles chart act. She knows this. We know this. Frozen is having a little moment and she’s here for it. We got a nice little video and a remix out of it. Where’s the problem?

Just give it a few weeks until people start to realise one Frozen remix will have more streams than the entire Erotica album. Hell, it’s annoying me a Frozen remix is getting more streams in one week than some songs on Madame X got in four years

So, the best way to promote her would be either have videos that do not feature her AT ALL, or she can pull off a Sia and have a beautiful and young alter ego a la Maddie Ziegler. They can do wonders, but the less the 2022 Madonna does, the better. Yes, might sound sexist, might sound ageist, might sound whatever you like, but beautiy standards and this society's obsession with youth won't change just because some M fans might feel "offended" by them.
    I have no words...
Btw, your entire post is based on wrong info. The new video release + the remix she just released with Fireboy gave the original remix new life on Spotify where it had a considerable increase again AND the original music video from 1998 got a new overall peak on Youtube because of the new video.

We have a woman in her mid 60's actively navigating through an industry like this, taking advantage of a viral hit of hers and doing something with it in a way no one else probably would do and you're discouraging her and telling her to go hiding? Like...wtf...it's her career. Who cares if ultimately it does nothing.

If anything she should show up more.

Asking people to hide themselves in order to succeed. How can that be right?

That at least it sounds like a song with a structure, instead of a weird loop? Also thought Warner could push it into some playlists.

^100% agree. This is was not going to do anything. it's all about bringing more attention to her catalog on Spotify/YouTube.

I will be happy to be proven wrong, but I think the original Frozen Remix without featurings, is the one we are gonna find between her biggest hits like forever.
And what made you think the new remix would somehow become more successful than the original one?
The Sickick Remix slayed both TikTok and Instagram with thousands of videos using it.
It was so well accepted that even only being uploaded to Spotify almost 2 months after its peak,it still managed to rack up almost 40 million streams.
When the Fireboy remix was released,i made a post telling those fans who were expecting it to explode on Spotify to accept that it was just a bonus and a cute lil thing meant to keep her name out there so, expectations should be adjusted.
I think this "pretty much done" you talked about, is a very personal expectation of yours that doesn't correspond to reality at all.
The remix is doing good for what it is. Nothing more, nothing less.
The original one would always be the bigger and more successful one anyway.

Now they just need to add the track to popular playlists on Spotify and Apple Music. Only way to keep the streams and her listener numbers growing.

    Spot on.

She’s receiving exposure on the streaming platforms with a whole new audience. Those millions will rack up. This is great marketing for the 50 #1s Remix Compilation and Visual Autobio. A Tik Tok #1 is still a #1 that any publicist especially at Warner can spin.

Good news is that people will only remember the remix with her voice, without featurings.
If by "done" you mean stable on Spotify and increasing on Youtube then yes...it's "done".
