I know WB stated before the release of Hard Candy, that Madonna had sold over 75 million albums in the USA. Maybe if she ever comes back to them, they will update her certifications...

The short form album 4xP certification for Mariah's "Unplugged" has been removed from Mariah's total.

Mariah is really still ahead.

Guy Oseary/Madonna could easily request and pay for updated certifications if they really wanted to. It's simple paperwork.

I don't know if you're Australian (or were around then), but the 1993 tour really was a big event. One of the commercial TV channels (we only had 3 at the time, plus two government-run stations) had a Madonna movie marathon on a Saturday night, even.

I'm not Australian, but over the years I've made Australian friends online and they've described just how big of a deal it was. But the effect lasted not just a couple weeks. It lasted a couple years. Bedtime Stories album and single's positions are impressive compared to the rest of the world.Plus, I can't think of any other major market where Bedtime Stories and Something to Remember hit #1.
