With those numbers I’m surprised at how well Medellin did since it has 3k more units than GT that was performed twice in tv and when the whole era had more promo and interviews and a full tour (besides GT not being performed) and also had some airplay while Medellin it was only the BMA performance and that’s it.

Also I think that with time, maybe in 4-5 years RH could reach Gold, maybe with the movie.

^No. PDP, Borderline and TB should have been certified Gold for 500k in 1989, but WBR waited until 1998 to do it. Those singles were not on store shelves in the 1990s.

They also should have certified LAV and CFY Platinum in 1989. Instead we have a confusing mess.

Finishing the True Blue album. Tomorrow, the Who's That Girl Sdtk.

    Open Your Heart SPS: 477,000

La Isla Bonita SPS: 913,000 - Eligible for Gold with the RIAA. Platinum in the next few months.

    Spotify:

    Open Your Heart 34,003,831

    La Isla Bonita 184,667,044

    YouTube:

    Open Your Heart 43,374,24

    La Isla Bonita 510,500,995

    Digital Single Sales from 2008:

    Open Your Heart 57,000

    La Isla Bonita 109,000

I really thought LIB would already be Platinum.

OYH is one of three Madonna singles between 469k-499k with SPS.

It still feels strange how MCM POP (french music channel) plays the "Who's That Girl" video on HD almost every day since the Spring and the video is still not HD on Madonna Youtube channel...

Not really. WBR has said they were going to certify 6 singles with the RIAA in 1998. They did 4.

In an upcoming post, I will give figures for one uncertified single that had sold 500k in the 80s.
