Are they doing Jean-Baptiste Mondino music videos or was this a coincidence?
    Will "Human Nature" be next?

It still feels strange how MCM POP (french music channel) plays the "Who's That Girl" video on HD almost every day since the Spring and the video is still not HD on Madonna Youtube channel...

If Warner sticks to their word Madonna will have lots of new albums and singles certifications next year to celebrate her 40th carreer Aniversary. "Live To Tell" (and all of her USTOP 3 hits) should be at least certified gold.

"Dress You Up" may get to gold in a few years as is just 62k behind. Nice to see quite a few singles less than 100k SPS away from Gold.
That's really quite a few opportunies to push for some songs in the long run that may help to certify more singles and albums.

    Thanks!

"Hung Up" SPS were 697k in August 2018. This means it gained almost 200k in 3 years!
I believe that in less than 2 years we will be celebrating this song getting to the UK SPS million units club.

Not sure if "Crazy For You" will reach there sooner as it already had 766k SPS in 2018 but "Hung Up" have been having much more streams than "Crazy For You" in UK (only song having more streams than "Hung Up" is "Like a Prayer").

I wish the Official Charts will give us a full Madonna update. It's already good that they gave us this info about "Hung Up" (probably they just did it because the ABBA new album is out and the song have the ABBA sample).

    UK figures for Hung Up:

Chart Flashback 2005: Madonna's Hung Up was a disco-drenched comeback for the Queen of Pop

On this week in 2005, Madonna's Hung Up debuted at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart, with first-week sales of 105,000, more than 59,000 sales more than nearest rival Westlife with You Raise Me Up, who dropped to Number 2. It would top the charts for a total of three weeks, her longest stint at Number 1 since Vogue claimed four weeks in 1990.

According to Official Charts Company data, Hung Up has UK chart sales totalling 899,000, comprised of 640,000 pure (physical and digital) sales. It's also been streamed 32 million times in the UK alone - her second-most streamed track in the country overall.”

    For RIAA:
Only official label/company videos count towards certification, User Generated Videos do not.

I think the Sou,ndsc,an data includes the UGC streams, which is not eligible for certification.

Only official video streams (i.e. not user-generated content) are eligible. For the avoidance of doubt, only official videos hosted on either the Artist’s or the Label’s channel(s) will be immediately eligible for consideration. With respect to third-party hosted videos, if a music label is able to fully monetize an official video and receive reporting from the video-hosting platform (e.g. YouTube), and that the video-hosting platform’s reporting does not consider the content to be UGC, then the streams are accepted. If a video-hosting platform flags the video hosted on a third-party channel as UGC, the video cannot be accepted, regardless of any monetization or licensing deals that the Artist/Label may have with the third-party channel.

SPS: 1,055,000 - Eligible for Platinum with the RIAA - This is the way RIAA does this now. It's not eligible for 2xP.

Into the Groove was never issued as a single. It was on the flip side of the Angel 12-inch single which is certified Gold for 1 million copies. Back then, 12-inch singles counted double for RIAA certs. 500,000 12-inch singles equaled 1 million.

SPS: 926,000 - Eligible for Gold with the RIAA
Why isn't "Crazy For You" eligible for 2 platinum when it have 1 million physical + 1 million SPS? Aren't some Mariah Carey singles certified 2 platinum based on that? That one got me thinking now... did they change the rules once again?

Nice to see that despite not being an official single it will eventually get to Platinum as it's less than 100k away from it.

Warner should really negotiate some promo to a few songs on successful TV series or order some viral social media stunts for a few of Madonna songs in order to get an higher certification award next year. "Into The Groove" could probably get there but a few other Madonna songs that you already posted SPS are really close from getting another certification award.

By the way! Thanks for the amazing job you're doing getting this precious data (I'm Brise but lost my other account password)!

The potential of Madonna having multiple Multi-Platinum eligible singles is tantalizing!
