Erotica was very mainstream in 1992. Let’s not rewrite history. I’m not saying it should be her most streamed album but it is being left behind.
i mean new jack swing was fading out , songs like waiting are mainstream but not a single , erotica overall isn’t mainstream people weren’t making songs like this it don’t appeal to large audiences
Not 4 versions of Frozen in her Top 20 but I’m happy because it will position the song as a staple classic and maybe it will be used more, it started when she sang the song in the last tour, last time she fully sang Frozen was in 2009 in the second leg of S&ST and then in RIT in 2004.
Using the above figures, Like a Virgin has done in one week what Erotica is expected to do in three months. If the streaming trend continues, we’re looking at it having a one billion stream lead on Erotica in around three years.
Rain is the only song from the album in Madonna’s top 50 most streamed songs and it has been completely ignored since 1995 (when it was included on Something To Remember). The fact Erotica and Deeper and Deeper aren’t in her top 50 is crazy.
But again, it just demonstrates how powerful playlists are. Warner needs to have a real chat with Spotify about what should be included in their ‘This is Madonna’ playlist because it is massively influential on her streams.
So you expect erotica a non mainstream album that did 6M sales to do the same amount of streams as LAV?

Nice to see that this live album still gets some streams!
Took 6 months to get to 5 million streams... can't say it's good... it's not a track... it's an entire album!
But I guess promotion was those 2 or 3 weeks when it was released only and they did a break for a few before dropping "Frozen remix" so It was not promoted all except for the MTV concert broadcast and never ever happened again - was not even replayed later on MTV Live channel that plays lots of concerts - sometimes even recent ones from older and less successful acts, I mean this week they played a Paul McCartney concert (sure he was big with The Beatles but not as big as a solo artist and even less during the past 30 years)!
