    265k + 115k = 380,000 - not enough for Gold
It will never reach unfortunately. But a picture disc could help

I wonder if True Blue ever surpassed the 10M pure mark in Europe, as it was #1 for 34 WOC no one ever broke it

"True Blue" album is at #21 now in Italy iTunes Charts! (yeah, I know, probably means half a dozen units sold).

We all know this is the best selling album by an International Artist in Italy with over 1.5 million copies since the 80's!

I wonder what are this album updated sales in Italy - they should really say something about it someday.

I mean... last numbers we have are from early 1988 (35 years ago) and a remaster CD was even released in 2001 (plus digital album sales from 2007-2017 were not as low as are now).

I agree that Bedtime Stories overall deserves more streams but the album improved a lot in the past few years. With rnb being as successful as ever, the album still sounds quite fresh and I guess more people discovered it that way.

I hope they release the I'd Rather Be Your Lover version with 2Pac one day. That would be quite something and would make some headlines/bring cute numbers to the album!
yes, that's true, there is that. but a proper live version of the album version is overdue... the unrelease tracks maybe in 2024, 30th anniversary :-)

"Midnights" will only get to that number if the numbers would stay the same. If they go down after a new album release it will take much longer.
The numbers are high now because the album was released 6 months ago and she is on tour.

As for "True Blue" getting to Diamond soon it will all depend on how Warner can make a new Remaster appealing to more people.

Not sure if RIAA count her re-recording in US as SAME albums or as different albums like Billboard does (no re-recording is certified yet).

Taylor best selling albums from the 2020's are still only 2xPlatinum ("Folklore" and "Midnight") and despite her new album is doing good and will certainly be certified 4xPlatinum before the year ends not sure if it will go much more than 5 or 6xPlatinum until the decade ends (looking at her trajectory this looks like her comercial ROL album in US comparing to Madonna career).

She have 1 Diamond album "Fearless" from 2008 so far and "1989" is close to give her another Diamond as it was certified 9xPlatinum in 2018.

"Red" and "Taylor Swift" are 7xPlatinum while "Speak Now" is 6xPlatinum but they are from 00's and 10's decades as well - the only ones that have a real chance to get certified Diamond one day.

Sure her 2020's career isn't over and she may pull out a star selling album but I kind of doubt that.

Madonna have almost no chances from having another Diamond album from a 3rd different decade (00's, 10's or 20's) before this century ends but never say never.

Her only album that have a real chance getting Diamond in a few years/decades is "True Blue".

Yes it's such a huge mess. They can't sort it out. Such a shame for older acts legends.

from Oct '01 (after the 10xP cert) to '03 it sold around 500k

    in '05 165k
    in '06 143k

I think in April 2013 we got the 5,850,447 copies sold in total for the album

then we have tons of other figures much later on, like the one from BB saying that it sold 5,992,000 copies until the week of Dec 8 2016 according to SS (link: https://www.billboard.com/pro/ask-billboard-madonnas-career-album-sales/ )

so between 2013 to 2016 we got from that some 141k sold SS but I didn't include that in my number, if we were to include that the we could get some 1.5M scanned from 2001 until 2016

    No they are not!

Shania Twain have 2 albums from the 90's and 1 album from the 00's
Whitney Houston have 2 albums from the 80's and 1 album from the 90's (if you Count "Bodyguard" as her album as both Billboard and RIAA do).
