Back That Up To The Beat (Official Lyric Video) reached a new peak on YouTube this past Saturday again. It's quite interesting how stable the song is over there while over Spotify it's falling.

^in 2005. this 2006 YTD chart takes into account only its sales in 2006, not the 2,5 months in which HU was at no.1 in 2005

I have just found this interesting report by Musica&Dischi about the Italian music market in 2006.

    2005 and 2006 combined

COADF was the third best selling album (first among foreigners) of the two years with 400K copies sold

    2006 year-to-date albums chart: COADF no4
 and IGTTYAS no43

    2006 year-to-date singles chart: Sorry no10, Hung Up no16, Get Together no44

    2006 year-to-date DVDs chart: IGTTYAS no8

    2006 year-to-date airplay chart: Hung Up no4
, Sorry no10
    2006 year-to-date club chart: Sorry no3, Hung Up no7

    They say that

“Sorry” sold 15K physical copies in 2006
, “Hung Up” sold 10K and
“Get Together” sold 10K as well (despite being much lower than HUng Up in the YTD chart, don't know why).

Madonna was the second-best seller act among women (local and international) and the best seller international act of 2006 (men, women and groups).

I'm glad Europe was there for her during this era, because every song from that album was a jam. Sorry and Jump deserved a bit better though.

There’s a private video of LIB with more than 100 mil. That would put it well over 1 bilion.

Yes. Laura is above 2 million copies certified.
Gloria Estefan is ahead of Madonna too, as she has more than 3M units certified in Spain.
And both Laura and Gloria are international artists.
I guess that Twitter account only considered “international” artist those singing in English.
Gloria has several English albums certified here, though.
And I guess they’re only including solo female acts, as Spice Girls, for example, have 1.3M units certified in Spain.

Anyway, Madonna’s total was not correct. I’ve checked and Mariah’s isn’t correct either. And I guess others on that lists as well.

It would have been better to post “I’ve seen on Twitter that Madonna is the most certified international female artist in Spain with 3.1M units. Is that correct? Anybody has a breakdown of her certs there?”.
