Perhaps this is why her “monthly listeners” numbers on Spotify keep dropping rapidly. She’s gone from about 16,313,000 last week to 16,227,112 today.

That's not good! Playlists are responsible for over 85% of Spotify streams.
Madonna numbers will keep dropping unless Warner works on adding the tracks to playlists.
That's the most important marketing tool for streaming on music industry nowadays.

Where have you seen those Mötley Crüe views? It says that have 39 million...
I also never heard of them or about that song.

Richard Marx song is a HUGE classic and still a favorite on Karoke nights.
The song still plays on the radio and on music channels like VH1 and MCM so it seems right. Hopefully
Madonna will step ahead of him soon as it seem she is having more daily views on her video now.
Another video they should upgrade to HD soon to boost views is "Like a Prayer".

Full disclosurse. I have no idea what that Motley Crue or Richard Marx songs are. No clue who Richard Marx is either. LAP is doing well especially since she has at least a dozen other major hits.

Don't they? If a song was officially released one year after its parent album, I guess we could say that they are songs from the following year.
For instance, I consider La Isla Bonita a 1987 song, not 1986.
But I do agree that it's a grey area, and there could be opinions in both ways.

Oh! So "Like a Prayer" is not even #02 for 1989 overall then.

She is back with Warner now... they weren't very much interested in promoting her very much since she announced the move to Live Nation in 2007. Sure they promoted "Hard Candy" and "Celebration" to explore the "golden eggs QUEEN" the most but they didn't put too much effort in it as well. After that they just released those albums boxes so they would cash in on Superbowl.

Now it's different as Madonna will be recording new albums for them, her legacy work have a new contract and the Live Nation albums will be joining them as well as Madonna owns the masters recordings and it seems that Live Nation only have exclusivity until 2025.

Everything can happen! Madonna have so many songs and so many hits that they can even have one different song for special events every week if they really want to. They certainly will do what they can to cash in on Madonna (if even Elvis Presley releases new lyric videos for his classics like "I Can't Help Falling In Love" for Valentine Day). Even something like that, a lyric video for "Crazy for You" on Valentine's season, would help the songs streams a bit as YouTube view streams count as much as free Spotify streams in UK (and 100 streams are already 1 unit sold in UK, the lowest I know! In Germany you need 200 streams and in most countries you need 150 streams - In US you need 125 paid streams or 375 ad supported free streams).

If they do any promo with the song on late January/early February this would hit 1 million in UK next year (it would only take a commercial using the song for a Valentine's Day campaign in UK to do the trick).

(Madonna doesn't have songwritting credits on this song so she probably prefers to promote songs that give her more money as "Like a Prayer", "La Isla Bonita" or "Vogue")

It's a bit uncertain... probably "Crazy For You" as it's at 900k now but both "Hung Up" and "Papa Don't Preach" are having much more streams in UK every week and equivalent song units are already over 800k by now for both these singles.

Info is not in the same place so further research would be needed (and articles from UK Official Charts are not always accurated and are already old) but based on info I have at hand right now I would say we will have to wait at least another 3 years for another million seller (unless her 40º Career Anniversary next year works wonders beyond my imagination).

    https://www.officialcharts.com/chart...d-songs__8646/ (2019) Streamed Songs

    https://www.officialcharts.com/chart...-chart__23721/ (2018) Biggest Songs (sales + streams)

https://www.officialcharts.com/chart...singles__8266/ (2017) Biggest Selling Pure Sales

""Like a Prayer" was at 792k in August 2018 and due to streaming and song sales is already over 1 million. This is her most streamed song in UK.
"Hung Up" was at 697k in August 2018. It's her 2nd most streamed track in UK. Not sure of the exact number but it's already over 800k (it can be close to 900k, I don't know - ABBA marketing now may benefit "Hung Up" due to the ABBA sample).

"Material Girl" and "La Isla Bonita" have similar streaming numbers to "Hung Up" in UK so will be fast sellers too but they may still need 5 years to hit 1 million.

Not sure what "Vogue" numbers are but the song is among both TOP 10 Most Streamed Madonna songs and TOP 10 Biggest Songs in 2018. In the 2017 article "Vogue" was #11 best selling pure sales with around 530k pure sales. I'm sure pure sales didn't increase much but the song does good on streaming.

Will Madonna have 10 songs that are million seller songs in UK in the next 5/7 years? This is not only possible but also very likely.
