Cape Verde, Angola, Mozambique, Guine, Sao Tome - all African countries that speak Portuguese and where "Madame X" was also a big hit as well. South Africa used to be part of UK and it's still a country where BBC is one of the most listened radios and most watched TV channels.Last edited by MadNuno; Sat February 27, 2021, 23:43.

The fact that her monthly listeners keep going up (15.08M) but her worldwide position doesn’t move (237-235) makes me think that her higher numbers are just a worldwide uptick for Spotify as a platform, like someone mentioned, because it is now available in Africa, East Europe and South Korea, so the Spotify users base is bigger now for everyone not just for her.

playlist reach:

Frozen 41,457 (GHV2 version) 1,559,098 (album version) 1,731,438 (Celebration version) = 3,331,993 followers
Ray Of Light 1,852,676 (album version) 60,247 (GHV2 version) 321,845 (Celebration version) = 2,234,768 followers
Don't Tell Me 833,703 (album version) + 442,789 (Celebration version) = 1,276,492 followers
The Power Of Good-Bye 1,287,588 followers
but what surprised me the most its that Hung Up is her biggest song at the moment with a playlist reach of "only" 5 million spotify followers (LAP , MG and LAV are all above 9 million) , 3,298,410 (album version) 769,406 (radio version) + 998,038 (Celebration version) = 5,065,854 followers

Sorry, I don't come here often so I don't really know but have the remixes EP and HD re-releases of music videos helped her streams/views increase? I guess they did when they were released but after a few weeks, is the increase still visible?
Thanks

some Turkey receipts were added to wikipedia recently and they show that Like A Prayer sold 151,000 copies
The first efforts to establish official figures by MESAM (a music industry organization established primarily to lobby for firmer copyright control) took place in 1990. Dilmener reproduces a list of sales from Boom that confirm the kinds of figures I would hear in Unkapam in candid conversations with producers and small company owners. Aksu’s Sezen Aksu soyluyor, for instance, had sold 845,000 copies by June 1990. By way of comparison, Ibrahim Tathses’ insanlar had sold 800,000 while Madonna’s Like a Prayer had sold 151,000 (Dilmener 2003, p. 349).
https://archive.org/stream/MARTNSTOK...02010_djvu.txt
and True Blue 100,000 up to September 1987.

UnapologeticKenny seems like some of her videos have declined? I hope many of those videos increase, they seemed to have done better last summer. Maybe that's because of the pandemic. As a whole, it looks like she will continue to do better and better on Spotify.
