No , Gold certification was 500k until 1989 and platinum was 1 million , thats why most of her pre 1989 singles were never certified platinum.

I wonder what are its sales from 1994-2005
Release date is really wrong for thousands of songs on BPI database. And it doesn’t mean sales (and streams) are counted from that date on but their original release date (or since BPI started counting in Feb 94).

For example, Spice Girls Stop date of release on BPI site is Nov 2004 or Wannabe July 2006.
And their latest certifications matched the sales we officially know they have since release in 1998 and 1996 respectively.

That Platinum certification for LAP covers sales since 1994.
It sold 400k from 1989 to 1994 and 600k from 1994 til last week.

I agree. And Celebration isn't even in chronological order which is a big pet peeve of mine when it comes to compilations.

    #88 (+10) The Immaculate Collection
For an album that is over 30 years old to be number 88 in the world is no doubt impressive. I don't care if people at chartmasters feel her music hasn't aged well--I think numbers like this speak for themself. I know not a ton of people use itunes anymore but still.
