  • 7.5 % increase for Madame X during the streaming week. Let's keep it going this week for Rebel Heart, it's fun to see the final results on Friday. I've streamed the album at least 5 times today alone.

Thought Vogue would have seen an increase as it was voted the #1 anthem for Pride. Maybe this week?

It's proof that high chart positions don't guarantee longevity. Into The Groove and Crazy For You are remembered far more than Angel (which is basically a filler song).

True but to be fair "Angel" never got a music video and the other two have.

I'd argue it's probably her most forgettable 80s hit. But I also realized I typed too fast lol, I forgot Crazy For You hit number one .

Yes and "Into The Groove" was a much bigger hit on radio too (and outside US as was #01 in UK for 4 weeks while angel also peaked #05).
If "Angel" had a nice music video back in the 80's I'm sure would have peaked higher - at least TOP 3. The song was used with "Material Girl" on "Stranger's Things" show a couple of years ago and fit perfectly.

Amazing how Reba is so big in US and virtually unknown outside US. I know she is country but so are Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks.
Madonna will probably catch on Reba in the long run. How many Gold albums does Madonna have that still didn't achieved Platinum?

Dolly Parton has 12 Gold albums. 5 are Platinum. She's probably under-certified.

Nice to see M has 2 more videos that will join the 1 million club next month. Paradise Not For Me should hit it in about 18 days, currently 989,150 and Living For Love Grammys in about 26 days, currently around 900,100.

Garth Brooks isn't very well known in most countries but people know him. He does chart his albums and some singles while Reba can't even chart.
During the 90's he was a bit successful outside US having #01 albums in Australia, Ireland and Norway - also a #02 in UK and charted in other European countries peaking Top 20 on European Album Charts with several albums. His 1993 album "In Pieces" was certified 3 x platinum in Ireland and Gold in both Brazil and UK. In Australia he had 3 albums that peaked inside the TOP 5 so I would say he is pretty known. Ireland is the European country where Garth is more successful having 9 TOP 10 albums and 5 of them were even #01 on the Irish Official Charts (his first #01 album in Ireland was 1990 "No Fences"). His best selling albums in Ireland are "The Hits" from 1994 that was certified 8xplatinum and his 2007 album "The Ultimate Hits" was certified 6xplatinum (both these albums were certified Gold in UK where he have another 2 Gold records and 2 silver records - so 6 certified albums).

Just look at his UK chart history where you can find his 6 TOP 100 Hit Singles (3 of them were TOP 40) as well as his 10 TOP 100 charting albums (2 peaked TOP 10):

                                          https://www.officialcharts.com/artis.../garth-brooks/

In Europe he wasn't very successfully overall but some of his albums charted in TOP 100 on most countries also reaching TOP 20 at least once or twice in almost all European countries so overall he is known (but less known than Dolly Parton except in Ireland).

Reba only had 1 single charting in UK TOP 100 ("Does He Loves You" peaked #62 in 1999) so she is a one hit wonder. Her albums never charted in UK Top 100. Not sure if she charted anywhere else beside US and Canada.

Garth Brooks discounts a lot of his albums to 2 dollars in the 90s for that he had 6 diamond albums. He is obsessed with certifications and charts like Mariah Carey.
