official doesn't always mean accurate... just for example the IFPI reported 5m global pure sales for Adele's 30 yet those are shipment numbers, the real pure sales are not above 3.5m.


the OCC is notorious for having really off numbers for pre digitalization era. and it's even worse cause they don't even try to acknowledge the mistakes and correct the numbers. (sgt. pepper's outrageously inflated sales for example)

Holiday was certified Gold (10k according to wikipedia) in South Africa in June 1984, it was also certified Silver(250k at the time) in the UK that same date.

It has a long way to go to hit that four million mark, but with streaming and a biopic incoming, I’m hoping she’ll eventually make it. It’s currently spent 359 weeks in on the UK album chart.

I love how Hung Ups streams are so high and its never viral. At least I dont think so. Its just a natural smash 22 years into her career and still going strong today.

Why did they choose TIC instead of celebration?
Celebration has 38 tracks which will help it chart on higher place just like Celine’s My Love.

Unless the label choose the rule is that the streams will go the the compilation that sells more physical + digital copies that week, so the streams of the songs that are in both compilations only go to TIC , meanwhile the rest of the tracklist of Celebration isn't that strong on streaming (excluding Hung Up and 4 Minutes) , also i think they don't count the two most streamed tracks because (unless im not aware of some rule change) this is what happens with albums, but i don't know if it applies with greatest hits.

Here she mentions: ‘I want you (Orchestral)’ from STR album, and the video has 1.3M views, is there a way to know if it got a slightly bump on Spotify? I posted a link with the song below that tweet and the link has been opened 200 times

She does remained me of 90's Madonna with that black hair and also it looks she has the same nasty ICE Queen attitude to match. Hope she gets the part.

Oh and I like "I want you" (orchestral) but the Massive attack version slaps harder.
