I just remembered Me Against The Music. I'm using nichu94's estimates on page 1 of this thread. He has it at 365,000.

WBR would have to look at the figures for ~50 singles to do a RIAA catalog audit. It'll be a lot of work and mistakes will be made. Plus 22 albums...

^Celebration has an estimated 275,000 in sales. Sorry was a bigger airplay hit. BUT, Celebration has a lot of streaming so maybe it could be?

And maybe Santa Baby? Estimated 275,000 in sales plus Xmas streaming each year.

Does anybody know what "Celebration" (the song) has sold in the US? Maybe it's eligible gold too. I know that the song only charted one week on the Hot 100, but if "Sorry" has sold 366,000 copies 10 years ago (and the song also charted only 1 week), maybe "Celebration" has sold enough units for a gold certification by now too.

These new certs would add up to 39.5xP. Plus the ones that were not re-certified.

Michael Jackson is at 41xP. Madonna could be past that if they do re-certifications.

back in the day 350k would've granted you a gold cert (I won't name names , people seem sensitive here and gotta avoid a ruckus )

These are the eligible certs. Nothing has been certified. I posted these a few pages ago.

The 12-inch single was certified Gold for 500k copies. 12-inch singles counted double in the '80s.

Of course all these certs will be digital single certs: digital sales/streaming/video views.
