            Thanks Nichu!

I think i never saw "Rescue Me" chartrun in the airplay chart! It was almost as big as JML on airplay, it makes you realize even more how her label screwed up the single release.

I'll Remember was really big on radios too.

Also surprised to see that "The Power Of Goodbye" actually had more longevity than "Ray Of Light" in airplay.

I'll Remember was big in both sales and airplay, which is quite surprising, considering it is one of her most forgotten hits!

Wow, This Used To Be My Playground was really successful on radio, it reached #1 on Hot 100 and still barely anyone remembers it

You think so? I think it's remembered by most.

It needed a video. Still one of her best songs IMO.

Absolutely agree! I just checked, it was finally released as a single when it was down 13->17 on the airplay chart, at the end of its run basically. THAT and no video=wasted opportunity to have a better chartrun. [And there are some other Madonna single releases that weren't exactly on point]

One thing I'm upset about is that Beautiful Stranger and American Pie were not released in the US, they both could've been top 10 hits as they did quite good on radio (especially BS).
I know the label wanted soundtrack album to sell but still, wasted opportunities.

Can somebody please explain why they did release Into the groove as a b-side only in the States? Her biggest European hit with no proper release in US.

^Into The Groove was not on the Like A Virgin album.

WBR wanted a song that was on the LAV album to be promoted at radio in order to drive album sales.

                            They stupidly focused on Angel.

                            Madonna was everywhere in 1985.

MTV was playing MG, CFY, Gambler, ITG videos all at the same time.

I always thought that was the reason, they wanted to push and give priority to a song that was on the LAV album.

Beautiful Stranger and especially Into The Groove would've been top5 for sure (and i'm being cautious). It's incredible to think that the woman with the most top10 hits has even more songs that would've done the same if they had a regular release.

Nichu, not that it changes much but THIS Ask Billboard article has a more updated figure for Hard Candy (744k). Don't know if it could be good to add it or you prefer a more precise figure.

                                    Amazing work @ the OP
Usually fans really inflate sales but the estimations in this thread seems really accurate.
Wish someone would do something like this for Gaga

Into The Groove would've been up there with her best-selling songs if it was released in the US :(

Of course it's good to add, even though it is not as precise as the previous one. I might've missed some updates, if anyone has got more recent figures, please let me know! (just edited the post with these updated sales)

                                      Thank you very much sbk!

I used to collect/estimate Gaga's sales too back in 2009-2010, not anymore now
