She has way too many things against her, and I’m not going to blame it all on her age. She has successfully managed to alienate the public with her antics, boyfriends 150 years her junior, subpar tv performances and she just doesn’t come across likeable at all. People don’t know what and who she is anymore, and if they do - they really don’t like what they see. She has become unrelatable and that is why her pop career suffers so much nowadays.
The old, tired and biased post disguised as "I'm only sharing my point of view".
First, what's wrong with her streaming numbers ? And yes,you have to put her against female singers from her generation to come to a conclusion whether they're good or bad .If and when you do that , you'll see she has more than fine numbers(nevermind Christmas, that's a territory she has never explored and never will).
Second, you're saying if someone wants to listen to papa don't preach or like a prayer or whatever, they won't cause they'll think "oh,that's a Madonna song, she's dated a lot of men 30 years younger than her ewww no, she's so gross, lemme skip that one"? dude, not everyone is a Trump suporter, you know?! Lol
Most importantly those streams don't come from ppl who care about tv performances or personal life nor do they come from the fanbase alone. They come mostly from general ppl who wants to listen to a song cause they bring back good memories, nostalgia, etc, without even giving a rat's ass about who sings it .Or do you thing that those ~2 million streams she gets everyday on Spotify alone are from fans and ppl who jugged but got her a pass despite her disgusting behavior on her personal life (according to your words) ?
Last but not least, not that I really care cause even if her streaming #s go down to zero by tomorrow, she'd still be Madonna the most successful female artist ever it's just your post coverd in judgements, prejudice, wrong "info" and the likes that is absolutely unbearable to read .

Madonna's version has 7M plays on spotify. There are at least three versions over 100M (Eartha Kitt, Ariana Grande, Kylie), so I would say Madonna's might not even make the top 10 but I'm not going to check all the other songs to find out

I've always thought the streaming numbers for her 80s hits were a bit lower because the music is just so dated to the 80s. So people only listen to it when they are in the mood for nostalgia, or having an 80s party or whatever. Whereas songs like Hung Up are still fun and fresh to listen to at any time, so I'm not surprised to see it as her top gaining song. I also think Frozen is a good example of a timeless song that isn't dated. Other than those two, most of her catalogue doesn't sound fresh enough listen to unless you are specifically in the mood for nostalgia.

I feel like most of the songs on The Immaculate Collection have aged incredibly well and they are played on oldies radio all the time. They should be doing better.
Probably that may happen after her bio-pic film come out like it happened to Queen. We never know. It will much depend on promotion they do to her songs and how they promote the movie. What I've heard is that her movie it's about her life until early 90's only - so only hits from that period would be featured and see Streaming boosts.

If the film is successful enough they will most likely do a sequel (like they want to do for Freddy Mercury/Queen bio-pic). Most non-disclosure agreements are 10 to 20 years so the second film may end with "Superbowlt" to include"Hung Up", her Guy Richie divorce and "American Life backlash" (and be released on 2030) - by then her later 90's and 00's may have a streaming surge as well.

Elton John had an increase also after his movie but not as big. It will all depend on how good that film really is and how will do at Box Office.

When Madonna is dies her streams will also increase brutally like we have never seen before. People will remember and celebrate her as they do with all dead artists. She will also be much more explored by Record Companies that only have a catalog to manage (and some unreleased tracks) as new music can't be done. It happens to everybody but there wasn't anyone as big as her to die since Michael Jackson passed.

Mess Madonna is doing fine. Her streams are spread out in many classics, she doesn't have a definitive one. If she was the Like a Virgin girl or the Like a Prayer lady, that one song would explode and the rest stall. She has like 8 songs over 100 million streams, LAP is over 200 and Hung Up/Material Girl are getting there 2x faster than when they reached 100 million. Look at the singers' streams you want her to emulate, look at Eurythmics or Cyndi Lauper. One/two big hits and the rest floundering. Her Spotify streams would be pretty boring if only one or two songs are worth following.
No 80s act has better streaming on their latest records, stop comparing her to new acts. Also, her biggest hit on Spotify for a while has been Hung Up, celebrate that no matter how hard some people want to turn her into an 80s act, plenty seem to disagree, she has a gap of twenty ****ing five years between 100 million songs (Holiday - 4 Minutes)
Is there room for improvement? Absolutely, Stranger Things is coming, her film is coming, her death scare showed people still care for her, she is no random person, she is Madonna and has always divided people, social media makes it seem it is more than what it actually is.

Madonna made an impact on the dance charts once again in 2020, finishing at No. 42 on the Top Dance/Electronic Artists chart. On Feb. 22, she earned a record-extending 50th No. 1 on the Dance Club Songs chart (Rihanna follows with 33) with “I Don’t Search I Find,” only a month before the chart was forced into a coronavirus-induced hiatus. “I Don’t” joined Madonna’s three 2019 No. 1s, all from her Madame X album, including “Medellin” with Maluma, “I Rise” (for which Tracy Young’s remix won a Grammy for best remixed recording) and “Crave” with Swae Lee.

The dance club promotion, marketing and remix A&R for “I Don’t” and dozens of Madonna’s previous No. 1s on the Dance Club Songs chart were led by Orlando Puerta, who died of an upper respiratory infection on April 4. After his death, Madonna told Billboard, in part, “I am forever indebted to Orlando and he will be sorely missed.” She later paid tribute to him via the cover art for the “I Don’t” remixes, released on May 1, which read: “in memory of Orlando Puerta.”

But yeah, I think Levitating remix points counted here too.
