I've noticed with a number of updated OCC articles that the sales figures given are just the same.

'The Immaculate Collection' has sold over 93,000 copies since February 2020 (when the album returned to the top 200 albums chart in place of 'Celebration'). At present the album is selling around 1,000 a week, of which around 90% are chart sales from streams.

That's amazing! Never thought it was doing so good looking at weekly chart sales for most of the weeks. It means it was really close to chart in many weeks it didnt' chart.

That would also mean the album is close to 3.9 million already and to finally get a new Platinum Award during the first half of next year.
With a lot of luck and Warner promoting Madonna 40th Anniversary really hard during 2022 this album may get to the 4 million landmark in UK before 2022 ends (if not in 2023 or 2024 will much probably get there).

"True Blue" was certified 7xPlatinum in 1995 while "Ray of Light" was certified 6xPlatinum in 2003.
That's a lot of time for both albums... they may be both at 8th platinum since the 00's already as "True Blue" even had a remastered version on CD in 2001 and a few limited Vinyl releases along the way (26 years have passed since last certification).

Not sure exactly when Platinums started being automatic in UK but I think it was only after 2009 or later.
This may mean they are wrong (would not be the first time) or that "Ray of Light" really got to 7xPlatinum or even 8xPlatinum before the automatic awards certification was into place meaning that it already sold at least 7xPlatinum and it's on its way to 8x or 09xPlatinum already (a real possibility since COADF era certainly helped "Music" to sell quite a few copies also).

With streaming both albums "True Blue" and "Ray of Light" will eventually get a new award certification from BPI soon and we will know for sure what's going on. Not sure if the label will have to do something so that old physical copies are taken into account... not really sure how do details work. Hopefully Official Charts can raise a light on this next year for Madonna 40th year carreer anniversary as they will certainly make a lot of updated articles if Warner does release something with promo.

At least in 2019 ROL and COADF used to sell around 4k units per year but maybe with the increase in streaming they are doing slighly better now.

Automatic certifications started in 2013:

The BPI administers the BRIT Certified Platinum, Gold and Silver awards scheme for music releases in the United Kingdom. The level of the award varies depending on the format of the release (albums, singles or music videos) and the level of sales achieved. Although the awards program was for many years based on the level of shipments by record labels to retailers, since July 2013 certifications have been automatically allocated by the BPI upon the relevant sales thresholds being achieved in accordance with Official Charts Company data.

Since July 2014, audio streaming has been included for singles and from June 2015 audio streams were added to album certifications. In July 2018 video streams were included in singles certifications for the first time. Streaming's contributions to chart-eligible sales totals for singles and albums are calculated using the methodology employed by the Official Charts Company for consumption at title level.

also do you have TIC chart run in the UK in the last few months?, this is what i found until the last week it charted in the top 100 in August:

So "Madame X" album and live album are loosing steam on Spotify.
If only Madonna could put one live song on her YouTube account... but I'm sure the streaming agreement is keeping her from doing it for a long time. Hopefully they put at least one live video on YouTube once the physical release happens (if it happens...).

There are two very similar versions of Frozen's remix that's getting popular on TT/Instagram on Spotify, released by some "artist" named WHOCALLIZZA. If you Shazam the song that's also what it shows, not Madonna's name. Madonna, Orbit and Patrick are NOT credited as you can see:



And the worst part, this remix is getting more streams than any Madonna song already over there... only yesterday it got 221,190 streams on the most popular one (a little faster remix) and 72,521 on the second version (the more alike to the trending remix).

Madonna's Frozen had its best day last friday, with 76,303 streams (4 versions combined).

I saw on Twitter a few people tweeting about it to Rhino, Warner, Guy and Madonna... but nothing has been done yet. Clowns!

At least the album version of Frozen is getting around 63k streamings per day, so it may appear on M's top 10 on Spotify in the next days.

Papa is doing around 56k, Into the Groove around 52k.

Cause the official chart by SNEP (sales+streaming combined) is a Top 200 only.
