How do they know their revenues from albums/singles tho? It could be different from artist to artist.
I mean, it could be different if an album sold 500k with $5, and an album sold 1M with $1 (just an examplep lol)

- Co-headline tours are attributed to both artists as well as singles and albums - Sales and streaming numbers are estimates from different sources - Attribution of LP (15:1), physical single (5:1), concert ticket (1:1), digital song (1:1), and streams (1:1500)
Uauuu! Taylor tops Britney.
I don't agree much with those attributions as a digital song costs less than $1 and a concert ticket costs most of the times over $50 and sometimes in more than $500.

Will posters here please stop making ridiculous comments like this?
Most of Madonna's hits come from the 1980s. 80s fans don't stream that much. (I'm streaming M right now and Cherish is on.)
90s music fans like streaming which is why Mariah and Celine do well.
Whitney does well because she has passed.

Mariah, Celine and Whitney all declined around or before the time they hit 40.Last edited by Shego; Thu June 17, 2021, 14:11.

And yes Madonna gets more streams for her recent albums than her 90s peers, Madame X and Rebel Heart have great streaming numbers for her standard and she’s way above some others only behind the main 00s and 10s girls and Shakira.

And I will add that almost 50% of worldiwde streams were coming from US until the end of 2018. Europe is streaming a bit more now and increasing the streaming share every year but still streams less (In Spotify Europe is now ahead but in all streaming services together is still behind). If Europe was streaming more Madonna for longer would certainly be a lot higher as during the 90's and 00's she had quite a few monster hits in Europe too. I'm sure that as Europe streams more every year Madonna streams from 90's and 00's will also grow. Also most streams come from playlists and as soon as Madonna gets added to new playlists her streams will increase (many of her 80's song are from US created playlists but soon new European playlists will start adding other kind of songs too for sure). People often forget that playlists are responsible for over 80% of global streams.
