I would have thought Soltera would have had more skins. Isn’t Maluma a streaming force?

Well... he is. He has songs with more than 700, 600, 500 million streams. 40 songs over 100 million streams.

Actually “Soltera” is the least streamed track on his album 11:11 and one of the only 2 out of 16 below 10 million.

It was an album track after all and, unlike Medellin, it didn’t have playlist support. It does have more streams than their other collab on Madonna’s album, though. (Bitch I’m Loca = 6.66M)

I think you're absolutely right menime123 First songs on "This Is Madonna" that we cannot find between her top 30 on Spotify are Crazy, Celebration, Dark Ballet, God Control, Die Another Day, Who's that Girl... which are placed between 18th and 32nd.

So it's like a lot of people listen to this playlist, specially the first 15-17 songs.

As pointed by others, I wasn’t aware Girl Gone Wild was going to be there. It’s nice to see some people actually listen to M’s recent music even though it is playlisted nowhere. “This Is Madonna” is the only big support on Spotify for “Girl Gone Wild”, and it has only 400,000 fans. Second biggest playlist with Girl Gone Wild on it is “Bitchy Pop”, but it has only 57,000 fans and it’s located at 118/380.

Another surprises on the top 30: True Blue and The Power of Good-Bye as none were featured on CELEBRATION. And True Blue was not even on Immaculate Collection.

Biggest absences: I would say Justify My Love, which is on both Celebration and Immaculate Collection, and of course the recent singles: Living for Love, Ghosttown, Crave... At least, we have Bitch Im Madonna this high and solid. Unlike other people on the forum, I love it and think it's classic Madonna, so that's fine by me.

Hope some songs come and go in the next few weeks

True Blue and The Power of Goodbye being the top 30 suggests to me that the ‘This is Madonna’ playlist does have a lot of power on Madonna’s streaming figures. Both are are in the first 30 songs of the playlist, whereas Justify My Love - despite being on two Madonna compilations - is 49th. It’s obviously not the only factor, but I struggle to see why there is 100,000 streams difference between #15 and #30 on the list. That’s such a drop.

So true! Madonna being only for "gay people" is something that especially happens in US. In Europe is quite different.
Many straight man listen to Madonna here in Portugal else her album "Madame X" wouldn't have been #01 for 3 weeks and another 3 weeks at #02.
Even "Confessions Tour" album was #01 for 3 weeks in Portugal back in 2007 and her concert in 2008 was filled with straight people selling out the 75k tickets for the show in 4 days (a record for the venue that she still holds). This is a country with just 10 million people and on the Lisbon area there are only 3 million people (only 500k people live on the city!).

Yes, in Asia too the perception is not the same as in the anglosphere. I mean, in Japan, Mariah is the biggest international artist ever. She wouldn't have gotten to that level if just women and gay men were buying her stuff.

"Crazy" would have been a great single choise for Europe but I believe that only "Medelin" and "Crave" were chosen to promote the album in order to sell it. The other videos/singles were more to make a stand. "I Don't Search I Find" was probably just to get the 50th #01 Club Dance in Billboard charts as the song was only promoted in US (as far as I know).

Yes because older women are often seen as "gay". Elton is a man and they tend to have better numbers because straight men can listen to them and not feel like people are judging them. They get all demographics. Women such as Whitney, Madonna, and Mariah get listeners for their big hits, but beyond that it is purely gays and women. At least that is my opinion on part of the discrepancy.

Elton John is a "Diva" - openly gay and there are even jokes that he wishes he was the "Queen of Pop" that straight people tell about him. His biopic shows that.
Freddy Mercury was also gay so and that is well seen in the biopic as well.
Madonna is bi-sexual and the biopic will probably show that.

Before Elton John biopic Madonna was having more than twice the stream Elton John was having. With the film he increased a lot having more streams than Madonna and now he has the same kind of numbers.

The Elton John biopic helped to raise his streaming numbers over 500% when it was out. It wasn't as successful as Bohemian Rhaposhody so the effect wasn't so lasting and his numbers went down a bit (still 250% over what they were before the biopic).

I agree with you. Was it always that way with Madonna though, even in her peak? On some forum, peopel were saying when Madonna was huge in the 80s and very early 90s, even straight men would have no issue listening to her. Oh, and I do think in foreign countries (outside the anglosphere) that atttiude towards female arists isn't there as much. It isn't a big deal if a straight man loves Celine Dion, Mariah, MAdonna, etc. in those countries.
