Madonna is currently the 266th most played artist on Spotify.

It was around 310th a couple of weeks ago, so I guess so many articles about her birthday are having a possitive effect.

    Hot 100 Artists

    1 Beatles
    2 Madonna
    3 Elton John
    4 Elvis Presley
    5 Mariah Carey

Madonna, with a record 38 Hot 100 top 10s (including 12 No. 1s), ranks as the Hot 100's No. 2 artist
I think if it would exist a worldwide all-time chart she could even be at number one.
And Elton John wouldn't be even in the top 5

Ummm, you do know her albums have been leaking regularly for quite a few eras now? Granted, RH leaks of various demos was the mother of all leaks, but if she hasn't learned by now...
