        That's only 4 decades!
And 1977, OCC credited A star is born as Barbra's album

The first Number 1 by a female solo artist arrived shockingly late - a full 21 years after the Official Albums Chart was established.
But what a way to start, with a proper legend. The soundtrack to the seventies remake of A Star is Born climbed to Number 1 on its 13th week on the chart, making the movie's leading lady Barbra Streisand the first woman to top it.

Yes... 1977 too (forgot about it as I don't know why they don't put it on her chart History as they should).

            Still it's only 4 decades anyway: 70's, 80's, 00's and 10's

If Barbra gets lucky she may get a #01 album in the 20's despite not being that easy for her now to get there she can do it.

Madonna have had #01's in the 80's, 90's, 00's and 10's so 4 decades as well so far.

If "Finally Enough Love" gets to #01 Madonna becomes the 2nd female artist to have #01 albums in 5 different decades in UK Charts.
Hopefully Warner makes an extra effort in UK to make sure this happens.

The first one in UK? Kylie Minogue as she got to #01 in the 80's, 90's, 00's, 10's and 20's already when "Disco" peaked #01 in 2020.

            • Nice number for Frozen On Fire considering it has close to 0 playlisting!
It will get some nice numbers; Sickick fans have been asking for this version to be available on streaming services for months.

563k daily streams for this remix - wow! And we all thought it was too late when they uploaded in it during fall.

That’s impressive . Wondering if her monthly listeners have also increased.

I'm so angry at them. We used to get one HD video per month but they slowed down and now they're not even bothering anymore. The last one they uploaded was Take a Bow back in January. Since then they have released the Don't Cry For Me Argentina remixes and haven't even mentioned the vid.

One per month was already super slow. It should be one every week or every other week. HD uploads have actually really helped the other videos, so they better hurry up!

I’m guessing it’s all on pause because there’s a new game plan at work. Maybe they’ll dump everything in one go on her 40th? Maybe Warner are happy to do genuine rescans for real 4K etc.
                                      Exsqueeze me!

As they are giving us new HD Frozen videos they think it's enough for now... 3 Frozen remix videos during the past 2 months.

"Don't Cry For Me Argentina" and "Into The Groove" videos could have had an HD upgrade since they decided the released the maxi and the remix now.

I hope they upload the "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" Miami Mix video to her channel... the fan upload from 2011 have 840k views that could be on her channel.

Also "Secret" and "Bedtime Story" remix videos could be on her channel.
Hopefully they upload them in HD in August for the album release with the audio remastered as 2022.

It depends how much sales it had when it was certified Diamond. Could be at 10 million or at 10.5 million already - we don't know.

12xPlatinum is almost certain as 24 years have passed that would mean it would have sold on average less than 83.3k per year since was last certified.

That's less than 1600 units on average per week. In late 90's and early 2000's album sales were still pretty strong.
In 2001 the album was re-released with a re-master version on CD for the "Drowned World Tour".

As we are talking about equivalent sales to get an album certification (including song sales equivalents and streams) and there are 2 tracks with high sales and streams that also contribute for it (especially "Material Girl") the chances that is even better than that increase.

There was also that recent "clean" vinyl sales that are also take into account for it. Probably wer're talking about a few thousands more but all bits help.

The 12x Eligible seems certain. To be 13x Eligle average sales would be from 100k to 125k per year (and that seems a bit too much to have achieved already but sales from '98-2003 maybe higher than we expect and that make all the difference).

I'm almost certain that "True Blue" is elligible for Diamond already as it was certified 7xPlatinum in 09 February 1995 (over 27 years ago). Before that it was certified 5xPlatinum in 11 August 1987.

If it was exactly at 7 million when it was certified (I'm sure it was higher as this happened when "Take A Bow" was hiting #01 in US) this means that on average had to sell around 110k copies per year. If it was at 7.5 million when it was certified it would only need on average 92.5k sales per year to get to Diamond.

It was also remastered in 2001 on CD and had a clear vinyl released not long ago too.
It have 5 hit singles download equivalents and streams to help it get the certifiaction as well (including "Papa Don't Preach" and "La Isla Bonita" that are huge streaming tracks for Madonna).

I'm sure the album catalog sales were huge while Madonna had the very successful "Ray of Light" and "Music" period (certainly gained new fans and had lots of catalog sales) as album sales worldwide were at an all time high on the music market by then.

It certainly is elligible for 9xPlatinum but much probably is already Diamond or getting near to Diamond. I'm counting on Warner to re-certify this album Diamond later this year and give Madonna her 3rd Diamond Album in US.
