    • The best candidates for updated certs:

      HC 1xP
      COADF 2xP
      TIC 11xP
      TB 8xP
      LAP 5xP
      LAV 11xP

      That's 5.5xP in new certs. She's at 64.5xP now.

That would be 70xP. Highest certified RIAA female:

I would be pretty happy with that already.
Of course that if there were a little more it would be even better but 70xP albums would already make my day
Hope Warner do it already in August to promote this compiltion. With luck that will help it get a Gold record later on.

                  Thanks for the breakdown.
I think tic could be eligible for 12 p even.
                  it's a totally steady seller

That would give Madonna 7 different albums to be at least 5 Platinum in US which is a great achievement (Mariah Carey already have 7 albums that are 5xP or more)
                        .
Madonna would have: Madonna, LAV, True Blue, LAP, TIC, Evita and ROL

I think they will wait for ROL to be certified when the album is re-released with those "Frozen (remixes)" and a few tracks later in October or November.

                        • If COADF does get 2xPlatinum in US (hopefully it will) becomes Madonna 13th Multi-Platinum Album in US (at least 2xPlatinum).

This would tie Madonna with Barbra Streisand as Female Artist with Most Multi-Platinum Albums in US! (Mariah Carey have 11 and Madonna 12 now)

Probably Barbra Streisand have a few albums to re-certify as well and get ahead of Madonna once again later.

Madonna only other albums that may be near to also get to 2xPlatinum during this next decade or so besides are "You Can Dance", "GHV2" and "Celebration" but none of them will get there in 2022 for sure (I don't think "Who's That Girl" OST will get there during the next decades and "American Life" and "Hard Candy" may take much more than a decade to achieve it as well).

Whitney Houston, Celine Dion and Taylor Swift still "only" have 7 Multi-Platinum Albums in US. I'm sure Taylor Swift will get a few more multi-platinum albums quite soon if she continues enjoying the success she is right now.

The album isn't certified for over 25 years. Still have had 5/6 years of good years of album sales since last certified so it's possible. Plus it even had a digital anniversary push a few years ago that certainly helped to increase a little bit bit streams and sold a few more digital copies.

Not to mention that the song "Like a Prayer" must have at least over 1 million track equivalents from song sales and streams in US already (that's over 100k album units push from that song alone). The album have been on most of the best albums lists released so I think it's kind of safe to say it's already at 5xP even with TIC monster catalog sales having the 3 most successful songs (but let's not forget that TIC versions of the songs aren't the original versions also but those Q-Sound remixes).

In 2015 when "Rebel Heart" was released there were already a few articles stating "Like a Prayer" albums as havving sold over 5 millions in US:

                                https://www.lessentiel.lu/fr/story/m...r-716846012547

TIC also have had reports of 12 million in US (but not sure how accurated they are).

                                • I've been looking more carefully at Madonna UK Album sales again and just notice that "GHV2" may be getting a 3xPlatinum soon as it was at 868.5k sales units in 2019 (3 years ago) - problem with this album is that "Celebration" killed most of its sales and as it doesn't have any new song much probably only "Beautiful Stranger" streams are associated with this album sales. Did it sold the 31.5k sales units it needed to get a new certification in UK? Much probably not yet but should be so close...

"Evita" should also be closer from 3xPlatinum but not quite there yet - the album was at 780k pure sales according to an Official Chart article from 2019 (so 3 years ago). It may be at 850k sales units (including streaming).

"Celebration" was at 666k in 2019 (it was certified 2xP for 600k in March 2017) so it must be at 750k/800k or less in best case scenario (so no new certification for a while for this album also).

"Music" must be little over 1.7 million (so it's probably almost 100k short from getting the 6xPlatinum)

"You Can Dance" still is at around 550k sales - it still needs to sell 50k to get the 2xPlatinum.

"Erotica" sales still aren't much more than 650k

"American Life" and "Hard Candy" sales are certainly higher than 500k but much probably lower than 600k so they won't get the 2xPlatinum yet (but will much probably get it during the next decade).

"True Blue" sales were around 2.3 million - plus tracks equivalent and streams (I'm not sure it's enough to get 8xPlatinum)

"Confessions on a Dancefloor" may still not be at 1.5 million to get the 5xPlatinum (but must be damm close with streams equivalents). This one may be getting a new Platinum Award but not sure about it.

As the 2019 sales I had were just pure sales I'm not sure if the aditional units from tracks and streaming will make a real difference or not.

"Ray of Light" sales should be around 2.2 million now with streams and tracks equivalents (so still it's probably bit less than the 2.4 million it needs to get the 8xPlatinum but enough for a 7xP Award that still didn't get) - will a new Anniversary Edition including the "Frozen" remix make it get another certification in UK? Much probably.

"Like a Virgin" is a bit of a mystery but it seems that at least it already crossed 1.3 million so it should get at least the 4xPlatinum - some reports say it was over 1.7 million in 2008 (so this can have a huge jump to 6x Platinum since the last time it was certified in UK was in November 1985 already!!!)

"Madonna"/"The First Album" it's also over 700k already so should also get a 2xPlatinum Award as well. Last time it was certified was in December 1985 and some reports put it at over 900k (with stream and tracks equivalents). This could much well get 3xPlatinum in UK too.

"Like a Prayer" must be arround 1.6 million - so this one have enough to get the 5xPlatinum Award in UK!

"I'm Breathless" looks like it sold already almost 700k in UK as 2019 and yet it's only 1xPlatinum yet (so it should get a 2xPlatinum Award)

"The Immaculate Collection" should already have crossed the 3.9 million to get the 13xPlatinum (or is really, really close).

"Bedtime Stories" should already be over 600k sales units so it should be getting a 2xPlatinum Award.

This means that in UK Madonna should get at least 3 new Multi-Platinum albums and 7 new Platinum certifciation albums (but can be a lot more than that as you can see how old some of her certifications really are in UK).

The fact that her first 2 albums aren't certified for over 36 years in UK it's a mystery.

Will Warner Music in UK update Madonna certifications this year? We can only hope they do!

                                  • Why haven't they done a GHV2 special edition that includes a 2nd CD with a few of the Mega-mixes that were used in 2001 to promote that album?
Those mega-mixes should also be added to iTunes and streaming platforms.

If only this was done it would get in no time the 3xPlatinum in UK and a lot of fans would be happy to get those mega-mixes.
Warner even did a video for the mega-mix that used to play on MTV and 3 days ago it made 4 years it was even uploaded to her YouTube channel!

It should get to the 200k views this week showing that none watch it (if only they put it on HD too so it would get more watched).

That would be at least 71.5XP.
Still lower than Barbra Streisand with 72.5p.

The album was below 4.8 million Soundscan sales by February 2003 and sold large volumes from late 2001 to that date, and then club sales were still something in 2001-2003 (especially for catalog albums) even though they collapsed after this point.
The soundscan sales of TIC stands at around 4.4 million by OCT 2001.
To date it sold 6.1 million copies.
It may ship over at least 400k units in clubs before they collapsed.
It probably has shipped over 12 million copies in US.
