Well none of the singles charted on the Hot 100 so the album gonna flop Madame X is Madonna lowest viewed and selling album in her discography.

It believe it must probably did over 8M worldwide as during 1990 alone it sold estimated 2.5 million in US, over 500k in UK and over 500k in France.

Unfortunally most singles certifications database for most countries before 2010 aren't online, even for countries that already had them (as during the 80's and 90's many countries didn't even had certificaitons for singles) leaving us completely in the dark for single sales.

"Vogue" was certified Gold by SNEP for sales over 500k

In France "Vogue" must have been a steady seller outside the TOP 100 / TOP 50 (wasn't it still only TOP 50 back then?) for most of the year, even outside the charts.

The single was still TOP 20 for 15 weeks and TOP 10 for 5 weeks despite only peaking at #09.

Not sure about Germany but I bet it sold at least 250k or even the same there as well (peaked #04 in Germany but it's hard to find information about single sales in Germany from the 80's and early 90's - certifications weren't automatic and record labels didn't always asked for them as they were more expensive back then).

Just notice that the Wikipida page for "Like a Prayer" have Madonna sales in US as 1.1 million based on over 1.1 million downloads sold from 2006 until 2016.

As the single was certified Platinum by RIAA in 1989 for sales over 1 million physical singles this means that as 2016 its sales were already over 2.1 miillion in US and not 1.1 million as is written on wikipedia page for this single.

Also in the summary it says it sold 5 million Worldwide but Worldwide should have a brankets after it saying (during 1989) as the source info about it was published even before 1989 year have ended.

If someone can edit both things. Sources links are already there, just info insn't totally accurated.

the MG and frozen remix viral trends definitely bringed some attention to other songs (mainly lap and lib)
she needs something major and her consumption will grow exponentially, if the biopic is done well it could do just that.
