Warner wanted "Don't Stop" to be the single released after "Take a Bow" (and before "Bedtime Story") as it seems very Madonnish... like an "Into The Groove" version for the 90's (they even called it that, yes). So they did promo-CD singles in several countries and sent them to radios that even start playing it and it even charted in some countries airplay charts. Madonna wasn't on board, she wanted "Bedtime Story" to be 3rd single so she went to Brit Awards, she did a $5 million video, she showed it on cinemas, she then did the MTV Special to promote the video... and with all this going on (remember she was the head of Maverick so she had much more to say on what to do and where to spend the money) Warner was forced to cancel the single release (as Madonna refused to film a video for the song).

If you tell me I get them, this song had potential to become a big airplay (and sales hit) and also a dance club hit (with remixes) if promoted right. Yet, artisticly speaking was much weaker and Madonna was chasing the art world and the critics to respect her a little bit more at the time.

Oh... so it's probably the US version... will we get it in Europe too? We need to ask Rhino UK about this ASAP so they can order their copies! Something tells me they are doing very little quantities worldwide

yes i remember the rumours at the time, but i have never seen any promo of this song form any country in the world. I think (or thoughts until now) to have all cd and vinyl promos from Us and Europe...

                                Britney, Mariah or Celine?

Can’t see in the Top 100.

                                Janet?
Their concert gross totals are quite smaller actually (in general)... only Celine does more Stadiums having a few concerts over $6 million.
Just for comparing here are their biggest values (and also Cher and Tina Turner to the mix).

Guess I needed to spend more hours revising that list. Found a few Celine DIon concerts that should be there, including 1 inside the TOP 10 at #06 and 2 others inside the TOP 30!

I did also find 1 Britney Spears concert (can't believe I missed all these on first place) concert that belongs to that TOP 100 on my previous post!
                                Britney should be at #72.

After Gaga Tour ends and all concert gross are known I will revise all concerts and post an update list so we can have it updated and corrected.

Keep in Mind that in the 80's, 90' and early 2000's artists made money from selling albums and tours were seen as promotional tools to sell more albums. In the digital era as albums weren't giving them enough money they increased the ticket prices and tours become their main income tool.

Here are their TOP Gross Concerts of those artists carreers:

PS.: Streams from compilation versions and radio/single edits are merged with the original song's totals.
PS2.: The small number at the song's titles means how many different versions are merged together for the final totals.
PS3.: No remixes are counted for the songs' or album' totals, with the exception of the ones originally released in the album tracklisting (Madonna, LAV, TB, MDNA and RH).

                                        • That drop in followers is tragic. It doesn't look like she'll be hitting the 7 million mark anytime soon. If ever.

                                          • The followers loss is weird. It basically never happens because why would so many people unsubscribe at the same time? Are we sure it isn't Spotify deleting double accounts, spams, etc.? Did other artists lose followers? It would be interesting to know.

I love to see Bedtime Stories gaining some steam and being the only album to do so. Do we know why? It's so good to see both Secret and Take a Bow increasing too. You'll See and Rain too! This part of her catalogue, her softer, ballad era is so underappreciated but I'm glad to see more and more people discovering it.

Also, super interesting to see Erotica is getting a special version in October… I'm wondering if it's the beginning of a re-launch, anniversary campaign. It would be great to finally boost the streams. 200k daily streams for 16 tracks is criminal when you think that the Sickick remix gets that EVERY day on its own.

Amazon has the vinyl at £30.99 (cheaper in physical storrs, as low as 27.99). And the cd reduced to £.5.55. Just got 10 copies. It would be good.to.make.it chart and debut at 39 top 40. Original release got to 42...

Might just be a Spotify thing. Same thing is happening to other artists. Haven't checked MJ's or whoever, but I guess this is normal in Spotify? IDK...
