That is why she needs a younger audience (hard I know due to her age) older fans tend to just care about nostalgia and not the artistic expression of the singer. She said it herself once "they reduce you to a sound bite, to a song" They are not really fans of her but of what she or her music once represented at one period of their now jaded existence. "Omg I hope she doesn't do Candy shop" "oh her music stop being good after confessions" omg please bring back Donna and whatever her name is" etc etc

              • So many Madonna albusm are close to certs in the UK this is is why I feel for a time period units should go to albums

                -True Blue
                - STR
                - Confessions
                - bedtime stories
                - Madonna 1983
                - Like A Virgin

she could gain more certs if they let them reach

                    • Overall this is a good Sunday with La Isla still on top and over 250k

Who would ever thought it could surpass HU by a significant margin all of a sudden?

                          • streaming is just way more convenient, I'm a 21 year old student living in a third world country where physical sales are dead. no record stores are to be found anywhere even in big cities... if it weren't for streaming i would've never even listened to Madonna's albums because why would i spend hundreds of dollars to listen to a discography I'm not even sure I'm going to like.

Madonna just needs to shift her strategy towards introducing her legacy to younger generations, the biopic was a great move but now that that's gone... playlisting and shoving songs down everyone's throat on tiktok is the next best thing

I dont know. All I know is that she hasnt had a main studio album be recertified in a while. The rest are either recent albums or compilations. I would think True Blue, Confessions, ROL, LAV, LAP could be close to new certs.
