Now that u made me think about it: this did really great on YT, given the circumstances, her age, lack of radio support, and for being 3rd single….

and don’t come at me with the likes of : “ it did great because of feat appearance “ , because following that logic, Medellin also had to achieve same numbers, more or less.

The Sickick remix, that for the record is still making respectable numbers up to this days: 150k yesterday.

It did great not because people liked it but because people needed to see what the hell it was. It had the featurings of multiple celebrities compared to just Maluma. It also had tons of parodies on the internet. It was a mini viral moment but not in a good way.

It's appropriate for UnapolgeticKenny's weekly list.

Other acts have all their different versions merged into one sales total.

Madonna's team refuses to do it.

                That’s what YOU think.

I remember all my friends loving the songs, and they are far from being a fan.

And the video was so good, it went viral for all the good reasons imo

I think it's called polarizing. Some people hated it indeed, but some people loved it. I love it. It's one of her best videos and has a lot of replay value, before the featurings. Some people we find it really funny and 100% Madonna.

The song has also a lot of streamings on Spotify (almost 90 million) and is still between her most played songs, even though it has NEVER been supported by any sort of playlist nowhere.

So it is pretty obvious it is a minor hit, at this point.

                    • The idea of merging multiple versions is to give a big picture of how popular each song and its parent album is. Madonna's team don't do the merging because they don't want to, cause when it comes to transform those streams into units, they do however they like (just look at how good FEL has been doing in the UK - not all those streams are coming from the actual compilation album).

If people have questions about the most popular version of each song, they can ask me or anybody else. Also, Twitter is full of updates considering individual tracks (one of those is always shared here). People can decide how they prefer the info. I'll continue doing the merge for myself, and as long as there is interest in it here, I'll share it.

Lookingfornews81 The album version is the most popular one of Frozen. It represents more than 85% of its daily streams.

thebigham The 4th version is not on Chartmasters, you have to use the Spotify app. It's on Celebration (standard edition).

Great, it will reach 100mil singularly one day, thanks

So many versions, very confusing as most are actually the same song.

                                  • Anything older than 30 years surely are up for a certificate... LAV, TFA, YCD and WTG last certificate is before her peak, even if on average they sold 250 copies a week (until 1992 it would have been so much more) - LAV and TFA have sold 494k since (plus we had that box set in 2012) and YCD and WTG have added 325k. enough for another certificate which can only be requested manually! so NEVER!

do Hard Candy and MDNA have a chance of a re-certificate too?

                                    • Also, YCD was certificate within the same month of release (possibly based on copies sent to store and not sold) only have peaked at #5? WTG released in July 87, certified 5 months later peak #4.

They don't. They barely reached their certification status. Well, Mdna did reach around 150k. But it's still only half of that Platinum certification. I doubt it is a good catalog seller. COADF has higher chances of reaching 5x Platinum in the UK. Ghv2 was this close of reaching 3x platinum status.
