Actuallly sales for Erotica in total may be very well near 3 million - not saying they are!

Lets not forget that on 25 May 1991 when Soundscan started was only counting sales of 40% of record store sales.
Besides the other 60% of stores there were catalog sales, clubs, concerts, etc - that were never ever included on Soundscan.

As October 1992 when "Erotica" was released soundscan had been active for less than 2 years and was still covering 50% of the US Record shops sales.

Britneys hits do much better than Madonna’s. But HMC was a hit so, Elton team did great promoting unlike Madonna’s for her remixes. Maybe a Weekend x Madonna collab could happen as he just posted on Instagram. But the celebration tour the streams will get a boost then

Some of these songs were massive at the time and are now basically forgotten. I really respect that she did not settle for being a legacy artist and kept moving forward. But looking at these, what a waste...

The best move for Madonna is to use the Celebration Tour to remind people of those amazing hits she has. A professional recording of the tour and releasing it on a big platform like Netflix (no Paramount+ again, please lol) would be really smart too.
