In Germany it really needs more downloads for a re-entry inside the Top 100. It would be great to see it this week, but a re-entry is possible lately in the next week.

HAPPY 9th ANNIVERSARY TO "CIRCUS" SONG !
On December 2, 2008 "Circus" was released as the second single from Spears' 6th studio album getting praise and regarded as one of Dr.Luke's finest works. The song was a major hit for Britney peaking at #3 in US where it sold over 3million units in pure sales and was a #1 Pop radio hit, it was also certified Silver in UK and overall the song was the 10th best selling song of 2009 worldwide according to the IFPI report, it has sold over 6,5million units in pure sales around the world as of 2017.

^huge sales for the song only 1 time promoted.
5.5 million when IFPI 2010 reported.
4 female artists: Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Beyonce and Britney were on the list.

I remembered most peolple were surprised because they thought it’s no way on the top 10 (comparing to others in the list, Circus was kind of short life).

"Circus" (song) wasn't that short-lived tho, that song spent more weeks inside the Hot 100's top 20 than several of her other singles and its overall her 6th most successful single released in the US according to Billboard. In the UK the song had an unlucky peak of #13 but that song charted for nearly 6 months inside the UK top 100 chart, thats more than what "Gimme More" (which was a Top 3 hit) charted, thats why "Circus" went Silver in UK and some of her actual Top 10 singles didn't.

I wouldn’t say it was short lived at all. It was the 17th best-selling song of the year in the US, as well as the 13th most played song on pop radio. It underperformed in Europe for some reason but it was a really big hit in the US, Canada, Australia and NZ. Even in the UK it had good sales and longevity considering its peak. It was huge in South Korea as well.

A lot of Christmas songs dropped on the Spotify charts in Denmark, Australia, Germany etc. It seems like the people prefer to listen Christmas songs during the weekend/holidays. Hopefully she can stay inside the Top 200 until next Friday.

"Born to Make You Happy" was released 18 years ago today!
"Born to Make You Happy" is a song recorded by American singer Britney Spears for her debut studio album, ...Baby One More Time (1999). It was released on December 6, 1999, by Jive Records, as the fourth single from the album in European countries. Before recording the song, Spears had to ask the writers of the song, Andreas Carlsson and Kristian Lundin, to re-write it, since it was a sexual song. The singer first recorded her vocals in March 1998, and re-recorded them later in the same year. The dance-pop and teen pop song alludes to a relationship that a woman desires to correct, not quite understanding what went wrong, as she comes to realize that she was "born to make [her lover] happy".
Top 5: Belgium, Europe, Finland, Germany, Greece, Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Sweden, Switzerland
Top 10: Austria, France, Italy
Top 20: Spain
"Born to Make You Happy" is one of Britney's biggest European hits, hitting #1 in the UK, and reaching the Top 10 in every country it charted except for one. Fun fact: "Born to Make You Happy" actually sold as much as "Oops!... I Did It Again" in Germany. It peaked at #3 for two consecutive weeks and had crazy longevity during the Christmas season.
Happy 18th anniversary!

Britney is pretty much the biggest female star from her generation in France and by a big lead. And yeah, France is one of the most difficult markets to crack, especially for female pop stars. And she had a very solid and consistent career for 15 years.

Lucky was averaging 40k views a day last month, and now it's doing almost 90k
Oops was averaging 119k views a day last month, and now it's doing around 162k
