• Studio album totals for Britney's main female peers on Spotify (per decade)

1990s:
Britney Spears - 367,621,567
Christina Aguilera - 266,147,554
Jennifer Lopez - 219,353,980

2000s:
Beyoncé - 3,228,963,296
Britney Spears - 1,539,388,457
Alicia Keys - 1,537,092,696
P!nk - 1,181,650,733
Avril Lavigne - 1,149,993,435
Christina Aguilera - 820,000,679
Jennifer Lopez - 384,137,517

2010s:
Beyoncé - 3,639,473,494
P!nk - 2,197,314,440
Britney Spears - 810,976,044
Avril Lavigne - 778,291,735
Alicia Keys - 548,230,188
Jennifer Lopez - 433,791,878
Christina Aguilera - 325,039,067

Bey's streams are so impressive. I wouldn't really consider Alicia one of Britney's main peers, but thought it'd be interesting to add her as she used to be popular back in the 2000s and had many hits that decade. Please note that this list is only for studio albums, so certain orphan songs are excluded (ie: My Only Wish), and no compilation/soundtrack/live albums are included.

I get what you mean but if you're including Avril Lavigne then Alicia is not out of place at all. Avril Lavigne debuted in 2002 while Alicia debuted in 2001 (closer to Britney's debut in 1998).

• Instinct Yep Bey’s streams are really amazing. And they would be even bigger for the 10s decade if she had put BEYONCÉ & Lemonade on Spotify when they were released but they only was put on Spotify 1 year & 3 years respectively after their release.

Shouldn't Shakira be on the list?

Shakira debuted in the music industry in 1991 (just one year after Mariah Carey). She's not Britney's peer and she has nothing in common background-wise with her either.

People often (and wrongly) mistake her as one of Britney's peers because she became famous in the anglo markets around 2001 but just because she had her english breakthrough in 2001 doesn't mean she wasn't in the music business before.

Britney's main peers are the likes of Beyoncé, P!nk, Xtina, J.Lo, even some others like Alicia Keys or Nelly Furtado.

Shakira is more of a Shania Twain, Alanis Morissette, Mary J Blige, Sheryl Crow peer.

Actually we already did the overall list (including Orphan singles and everything) yesterday:

• Were club sales still a thing when Greatest Hits: My Prerogative was released? They were probably dying but earlier this year Billboard reported that its sales were 1.8 million https://www.billboard.com/articles/c...-ask-billboard . I was wondering if it was possible that it could have sold 2 million in pure sales.

• “Her songs have drawn 25 billion in cumulative radio airplay audience and 2.6 billion on-demand U.S. audio and video streams combined and she's sold 39.8 million singles (36.9 million via downloads).“
That’s sounds a huge number of airplay, if streaming was counted back then she wouldn’t miss one song in the hot 100. And all of her songs would be certified

• The 1.8 million figure was a bug as the latest reported Soundscan total (May 2018) had the album at 1.64 million. But yes, club sales were still a thing by 2004. I wouldn’t expect much, though.

Because that’s interesting to see sometimes surpassed million seller hits like iwitw and mambo no.5

Beautiful Stranger is above 560,000 with streaming #7

so I think that Sometimes #11 is between 450,000 - 500,000

According to this source womanizer was lower in sales yet it became platinum so that means its not sps

Well if Madge @ #7 is above 560,000
Sometimes could be close to that then
