    • So . . Britney is the only Pre-2000s female artist who's had (so far) a SOLO #1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 this decade right?

Before some people get a bit pressed about this, I am fully aware that Britney debuted in the late 90s hence she had it relatively easier to transition into the 10s, nonetheless what I posted above is still an interesting fact considering Britney was not the only female artist who debuted in the late 90s and all of her main peers who are in her same debut conditions (Beyoncι, Xtina and J.Lo) haven't automatically yielded a solo #1 song this decade just because of the argument that they debuted in the late 90s.

Anyways. . . Is this correct so far right? . . unless I'm forgetting another Pre-2000s lady who had a SOLO #1 hit this decade on the Hot 100.
Rock lives forever: Led Zeppelin . Metallica . Pink Floyd . Nirvana . Radiohead . Pearl Jam . Oasis . Iron Maiden . Nine Inch Nails
Approved Popstars: Michael Jackson . Madonna . Britney Spears . Beyoncι . Rihanna

it shipped 1,7 million and not all copies sold so 1,67 million is accurate.
        1,8 million is inflated

What about UK though? Is there any other female artist to reach number one solo or not in three different decades? 90's,00's and 10's

Keep that question on standby until December, because there’s a good chance Kween could top the chart with you know what.

That's why I said so far.

As of right now I think this is correct. If Mariah does get a number one in December, she'll be in great company, though. I didn't know this list was so limited.

                • It's funny how some people who NEVER post here randomly appear whenever someone says something perhaps slightly positive about Britney and want to make Chartmasters numbers pass as the ULTIMATE source and FINAL WORD yet those same people go to their faves threads to complain about Chartmasters numbers expressing how he underestimate their faves . . but somehow they're official numbers for Britney but not for everyone else

I love chartmasters but some people here who discredit his numbers in other threads because they are not convenient for their faves yet come here to say his numbers are perfect for Britney are just incoherent people.

                        • Britney Jean’s streams are beyond embarrassing besides Work Bitch. What a tragic flop (& rightfully so).

Can’t wait for In the Zone to hit half a billion!

I think "Britney" (2001) will likely remain as her lowest streamed album forever. . "Blackout" is indeed surpassing "Britney Jean" eventually.

Maybe because of Crossroads movie that it's kind of cult classic for that generation

Even if they're gaining similarly (both +3million monthly) there's still a difference of 60million streams between "Britney" and "Britney Jean" this means that even if they gain the same now "Britney" won't ever catch "Britney Jean" up or at least it could take literally decades in doing so. The only way for "Britney" to surpass BJ fast would be that it suddenly gets into the BOMT, OIDIA and ITZ level and starts getting 10million monthly updates or something like that and being honest that's highly unlikely to happen.

                                    • "In the Zone" vinyl went up for pre-order a few hours ago and half of its pressed total has already been sold (nearly 2,500 out of 5,000).

                                      Edit: it's sold out!

                                      • Sorry did anyone notice that they removed Britney’s songs from All Out 00s playlist on Spotify or is it just on mine? I mean it’s a shame if they did since on that playlist there are songs that are not nearly as popular as Toxic, Oops or Womanizer yet they’re still there, and that playlist has like 7M followers

                                        • If my estimates are close to reality, "Circus" could be extremely close to 3x Platinum in the US....

                                          Pure Album Sales - 1,800,000*
                                          TEA - 932,000
                                          Audio SEA - 141,000
                                          YouTube SEA - 100,000
                                          Total - 2,973,000

                                          TEA breakdown:

Nielsen sales as of December 2, 2010
Spears' March 2011 release will be her first since 2008's "Circus," which has sold 1.7 million in the U.S. according to Nielsen SoundScan. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, marking her fifth chart-topping set. "Circus" also spawned five Billboard Hot 100 hit singles, including three top 20 hits: "Womanizer" (No. 1), the title track (No. 3) and "If U Seek Amy" (No. 19). The albums tracks have sold 8 million downloads in the U.S.
Nielsen sales as of late 2010
                                          Womanizer - 3,1 million
                                          Circus - 2,73 million
                                          If U Seek Amy - 1,15 million
                                          Radar - 0,49 million
This means the album tracks had sold 530K+ by late 2010. We can definitely round that number to 600K now, as songs like "Shattered Glass" continued to be consistent sellers in upcoming years.

Nielsen sales as of mid 2016 (rounded)
                                          Womanizer - 3,5 million
                                          Circus - 3,2 million
                                          If U Seek Amy - 1,3 million
                                          Radar - ???
Here's what downloads should look like as of 2019
                                          Womanizer - 3,55 million
                                          Circus - 3,25 million
                                          If U Seek Amy - 1,32 million
                                          Radar - 0,6 million
                                          Album Tracks - 0,6 million
                                          Total: 9,320,000 (932,000 TEA)

                                          SEA breakdown:

Of course, these are global figures, so using a reasonable ratio of 25% for YouTube and 35% for Spotify, we're left with 150,174,442 views and 122,655,686 Spotify streams. Please note that I'm only counting official uploads on Britney's YouTube channel.

We can't ignore the existence of Apple Music, Tidal, Deezer, Google Play Music, etc. In fact, Apple Music is bigger than Spotify in the US.

As of the report from last year, Spotify had 132 million of the 212 million streaming users in the World. The new document tells us that while Spotify increased its user count to 157 million, there is now 272 million streaming users in total. It highlights in good part the fastest increase of Apple Music lately.

Using ChartMasters' comprehensive streaming method (272/157* Spotify streams), we get a total of 212,499,022 audio streams in the US.

*PS: I'm aware Billboard reported 1.7 million sales for the album, but that number is rounded (and quite old) - not to mention RIAA works with shipments, so it makes more sense to use a higher figure.

"In the Zone" should be around 3.68 million SPS. Of course, we know for a fact this is not the actual number, as club sales are obviously missing. ChartMasters estimates around 280K for them. Overall, "In the Zone" should be around 3.96 million. I have no doubt the huge recurrent success of "Toxic" will take the album to 4x Platinum within the next few months.

Probably will hit 400K sooner than later, at least.

I'm gonna do the rest of her albums later (except Britney Jean, I don't give a **** about that one).
