  • her daily streams seems to be growing or stable, which is a bit odd because streaming is declining tue to the pandemic

    • Glory streams are just horrible. A shame because the album could have a good chance to reach 10 mio. plays with every song. Here the songs above 10 mio. plays:

      Invitation 7.885.637 plays
      Just Like Me 8.780.293 plays
      Love Me Down 8.011.593 plays
Hard To Forget Ya 5.046.161 plays
      What You Need 4.619.995 plays
      Better 5.784.812 plays
      Liar 8.041.391 plays
      If I'm Dancing 6.818.977 plays
      Coupure Electrique 4.448.107 plays

      • Glory streams are not horrible. It dosn't having a smash hit to pull bigger numbers.
Yesterday Work Bitch had 100,000 streams so that means that the rest of Britney Jean is pulling 15,000-17,000 daily. That's horrible.
It would be interesting to see how are the streams if we exclude singles from all albums. Glory would be higher for sure!

        • Again, Glory’s streams are all coming from her core fan base. So half a million streams a week for a 4 year old album that massively underperformed (to say the least) is not terrible by any means.

          • ^ True, maybe it was a little bit too dramatic.

Without "Work Bitch", the streams of "Britney Jean" would be a disaster, but the album is not good anyway. "Glory" is a great album and IMO it deserves at least 100k daily streams, but oh well.

It was still getting over 120-150k daily streams two years after its release. During the Piece of Me Tour it was actually getting more streams than Femme Fatale and Britney.

It fell pretty quickly in late 2018/early 2019. I agree that it definitely deserves better, but hey, there are many recent diva albums performing much worse.

                          • Does anyone know “ Do Somethin’ “ peak on the European singles chart? Because according to this it peaked at #7 (source: https://www.americanradiohistory.com...2005-03-19.pdf), but according to this chart it peaked at #2 (source: https://top40-charts.com/mchart.php?...ate=2005-03-12)

                            • Instinct how do you decide which mixed gender band you can include on the list? I can get Eurythmics inclusion as Annie is a co-writer of the song, but ABBA's Dancing Queen fits there how? Benny and Bjorn wrote the song, one could argue if Agnetha and Anni-Frid did the vocal performance magic to make the song what it is, it's because B&B did the writing magic, so how did this become a female song? Theme?

Why not include Fleetwood Mac songs written by Steve and Christine? FM basically worked as a collective where each member wrote and performed their song. They very rarely shared writing credits. Stevie's Dreams has 374.5m streams and Christine's Everywhere 301.2m. Also Steve's Landslide comes right in front of Sia's Breathe Me with 0.5m more streams.

I'm sure there are many more examples like this, so this list probably isn't close to being correct if you decide bands are a fair game.

                              • It's not about who wrote the song, it's about who sung / performed the song. If the song is performed (entirely or in a lead condition) by a female artist then it's included. It's simple.

In that case that list has huge omissions, some of which I have noted.

I wouldn't include Fleetwood Mac in that list as they perform as a duet between a male and a female .. In fact some songs are not even performed by Stevie Nicks in lead.

What are you rambling? Did I say every FM song should be included or actually wrote down which ones fit the arbitrary rule of letting mixed gender bands onto the list?

Dreams is written and fully performed by Steve, as is Landslide (this one not just written, sang but also fully produced by her solely). Everywhere by Christine too. Dreams and Everywhere have some backing vocals from the rest of the band, but they're just that - backing vocals, the same as in any other "female" song. You don't have to believe me, you can play them yourself.

Instead of bitching why don't you make the contributions to the thread and post the songs (with their actual streams data) that you think are missing so Instinct and I verify if they are eligible to make the list or not.

They very rarely shared writing credits. Stevie's Dreams has 374.5m streams and Christine's Everywhere 301.2m. Also Steve's Landslide comes right in front of Sia's Breathe Me with 0.5m more streams.
That being said, you are welcome to have your random list and keep it flawed. I have found few more songs that could fit the list "rules" but you're welcome to search for them yourself if you want a more correct list then.

Sorry, but we're not your employees, I won't look for anything just because you want a revised list.

If you think there are more songs missing post them and do the job yourself about their streaming numbers and then Instinct will gladly add the songs to the list if they meet the criteria.
