All Britney seven albums above 300M streams are regular studio albums
Beyoncé also has 8: 6 solo, 1 live and 1 Soundtrack (The Gift)
plus four more as part of a group (Everything is Love [The Carters]; Writings On The Wall, Survivor, Destiny Fulfilled [Destiny's Child]) to be exact but these probably aren't counted since they are not on her artist page.

Britney is really doing good with her catalgoue. She lacks a huge streaming album but is very consistent across her discorgraphy

          • Does that list include features? What about one-off singles like "My Only Wish This Year"?

TLC should be in there too.

Missy Elliot if features are included.

Features, Duets and Collaborations are never included in Britney threads when it comes to streams and sales.

Oh haha that's too bad. I prefer to see the full career streams/sales because it's more comprehensive and representative of all aspects of an artist's career. Plus Britney has a big collab with over 300 M streams which would put her over 4 B total.

Most people prefer to see a whole picture but not in this thread.

                  • Again with the passive aggressiveness

ksg22 The numbers come from ChartMasters Spotify tool, which is updated daily and includes every song on the artists page. It's not perfect, though. Sometimes it skips certain songs even if they're the lead artist (such as Britney's "My Only Wish"). This only happens if they're included under "appears on" rather than their main page. Overall the numbers are pretty close to reality and this shouldn't make a massive difference, unless 50% of your total comes from quick little features. But people like Britney and Mariah, for example, have actual hits of their own.

People are free to make their own lists. However, I like that this tool only includes songs as a lead. You get a much better idea of an artist's streaming power, rather than having most of their totals come from a feature that no one even remembers they are on.

                    • Thanks for the explanation. I've used the chartmaster tool before. Although I have to say, it seems random how artists add some features/collabs right on to their main Spotify page, and other songs are left out.

I do understand the difference between having solo/lead hits versus features, and I think it come down to 'value' as opposed to strictly sales. Building a strong personal catalogue has more value to an artist's legacy, and it is more reflective of the artist as a musician/creator. However when I talk about charts and sales, the concept of 'value' is less important than overall sales to me. Probably because 'value' is more of an abstract concept and charts deal strictly with numbers.

                      • "Till the World Ends" is currently at 99,132,644 streams on Spotify. Even though this reached 100 million several months ago when including remixes, I'm excited for the album version to hit that milestone as well. She will have 8/9 albums with at least one song above 100 million.

“Till The World Ends” doesn’t have the best recurrent stats these days (pretty dated song). . .

.. But overall I have to say it was an all rounded big Britney hit, when you look at the numbers you realize that “Till The World Ends” is one of her Top 10 most streamed songs on Spotify (as a lead artist), it’s one of her Top 10 most watched music videos on Youtube, it’s one of her Top 10 best selling singles and It’s one of her Top 10 best performing songs on the Radio. In other words, it stood out as an all-time career Britney single in each of the 4 different formats (Spotify, Youtube, Sales, Radio) .... The only other songs (as a lead artist) of her career that managed to pull the same were “Baby One More Time”, “Oops I Did It Again”, “Toxic” and “Womanizer”.

I agree. It wasn't on the level of those songs you mentioned, but I would definitely consider it an important hit in her career.

That's a total of 327,753,822 streams between Spotify and YouTube. Overall we're looking at no less than 400 million streams when accounting for other streaming platforms like Apple Music and Tidal. Not bad for a song that's nearly a decade old. I wouldn't be surprised if it's eligible for 4x Platinum in the US.

                              • ^ It's interesting how that song was considered a quick /forgotten hit when the stats are actually quite impressive. Just shows that perception can be incorrect.

Those are only historic / cumulative streams though .... In terms of current daily streams the song is FAR from being one of her most revisited hits (not even Top 15 in daily activity).

But overall it was a solid hit song for her back in the day. In fact, it’s one of her biggest hits ever in most markets (except for UK/Ger).

This has nothing to do with charts.

                                            Bleeding Love - 45,785,690
                                            Crazy In Love - 44,170,582
                                            If I Ain't Got You - 44,004,732

Toxic will surpass that Alicia Keys song and Bleeding Love pretty soon. Crazy in Love and Make You Feel My Love too but it'll take longer as the gap is bigger.
