      • That is impressive if you ask me.

        In term of earning:
        2011: 10M
        2012: 58M
        2013: 15M (?)
        2014: 20M
        2015: 31M

Over 130M. That is not bad. Only Beyonce, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Taylor Swift can earn more than that from those year.

            • ^ Yayy, happy anniversary to "Hold it against me", a truly stunning single.

It was the first Hit for Britney in this decade. The song reached #1 in six countries including the US and reached the Top 10 in nearly every market. Some haters always try to shade this single because it didn't have much longevity. But judging by Britney's standards (Not Katy Perry standards) the song did ok, its not like it charted and was out of everything in 2 weeks, for those who don't know about Britney's own standards the song actually spent more weeks inside the top 10 of the Billboard hot 100 than several other of her previous singles like "Oops I did it again", "Toxic" and "Gimme More". Also it was a radio hit for her, in fact one of her biggest ones, and it also remains as her biggest and only Top 10 hit in Japan in this decade. To this date it has sold around 3,5 million units WW and was met with critical praise.

                • No other female scored more Top 10 hits than Britney in the UK during the 2000s decade.

I have this info in UK for the 2000s decade (2000-2009):

                  1. Britney Spears - 17 Top 10 Hits
                  2. Kylie Minogue - 16 Top 10 Hits
                  3. Madonna - 15 Top 10 hits

Despite Madonna being 3rd in Top 10s, she was the female that scored the most number 1 hits in the 00s decade with 5, followed by Britney with 4 number 1s and Kylie scored 3 number 1s. Overall Spears is the top female singles artists of the 00s in the UK.

                  • Question: I was on ig and saw a pic of Britney looking phenomenal. So i was stalking her feed and came across the Pretty Girls promo. I almost forgot that single existed.

I searched the topic here but its been locked. Is there any news on the era that I assume was going to take place after PG landed. I mean, I'm sure there was an album to go with it.
                    It's like I'm kissing her too...She's perfect.

She has been working on the album for a number of months now but by the time PG was released, there was no album to go with it or scheduled for that matter. She said it herself that releasing an album is not her main priority right now.

                      • BTW, the great "Toxic" has turned 12!

"Toxic" reached the #1 in several countries (including UK) and went top 10 in every market it charted. The songs was subject of acclaim and became the biggest female hit and one of the biggest hits overall of 2004. Its the 9th biggest song of 2004 in the UK according to UK's 2004 year end chart and its the 5th biggest song of 2004 according to Mediatraffic's 2004 year end chart.

As of today, it's become Britney's top catalogue song and has sold 2,3 million digital downloads and close to 1 million mastertones in the US taking its sales to over 3 million units just in the US alone. Its music video, despite being released more than a decade ago, still gets streamed constantly and has scored a VEVO certification with over 170 milliom views.

                        Happy 12 "Toxic".

                            • Please do not report posts that are clearly not a problem - i.e. someone has reported Haribo on the previous page for calling into question the validity of that RCA email. This is chart analysis and scrutiny is the name of the game people![/*:m:3tarh6xl]
                            Thanks, Wayne!

I actually don't understand why people can't accept those sales are fake.

I think the best proof is the following:

                            The Femme Fatale Tour: 103,014
This number is based on the already-inflated number that Britney fans use: 100k.

Now, it's good to know that the DVD left the chart with 62,412 in May 2012 and the thought of it selling 40k in three years is ridiculous and impossible.

EDIT: Why did this get reported? This is pure chart analysis and there's also no need to be rude/bitter/mad.

Anyway, "The Femme Fatale Live Tour" is officialy certified Platinum by the RIAA for 100K units, whether they're shipments or not those are official figures and any Britney fan is in the right of using that figure if wanted.

Very good sales! i know Femme Fatale sold over 15 million records, so i was not expecting much outside it. call me delusional, but i do believe she can reach 50 million with another hit era.

i hope Work Bitch can surpass 2 million copies

                                        • ^ Interesting list, I guess that more than sales it was based on chart runs / peaks vs weeks on charts and stuff like that. So . . Considering Rihanna is from Barbados, we can say that (based on that criteria) Madonna and Britney Spears are the top 2 American female artists in Germany.
Britney Spears . Michael Jackson . Madonna . Metallica . Radiohead . Led Zeppelin . Oasis . Beyoncé . Soda Stereo

                                          • It's impressive considering we never see Germany as one of her strongest markets, she didn't get a #1 song from 2000 to 2012/13 and all the eras since her breakdown haven't had songs with much longevity or great peaks, except Womanizer which she performed there. And her album sales since Blackout haven't been that great either.

So I find it impressive that she is still top 3 of all time in Germany and most of that is thanks to her first eras. (And Scream & Shout which was huge)
Buy and stream Britney's new hot sinlgle: "Make Me...".

She had a span from 2000 to 2013 between her previous and latest number 1 hit there, but she scored 14 top 10 hits between that span. If you compare it to the US where she got her first number 1 in 1999 and then her second number 1 in 2008 and between that span she only got 4 top 10 hits then Germany was definately a strong market for her. At least singles wise it was, Britney was the female artist that scored the most Top 10 hits in Germany in the 2000s decade (2000-2009), and all of her first 6 albums plus her GHMP produced top 10 hits there.

Actually, "Piece of me" is one of her longest charting songs ever in Germany.

Piece of me - 23 weeks on chart

Baby one more time - 22 weeks on chart
Oops I did it again - 18 weeks on chart
                                              I'm a slave 4 U - 10 weeks on chart
Toxic - 17 weeks on chart
Womanizer - 16 weeks on chart

I would like to know what her most successful era was based on single sales only.

                                                That'd be kind!

Wow ! Didn't know Circus would be first. I thought the top three would consist of Baby, Oops and FF.
Actually FF was a really successful era. Sometimes I feel like people don't give it enough justice. It could even be bigger I guess, replacing Criminal by Inside Out and continuing with Big Fat Bass and He about to lose me as the last single.
This (and In the Zone) were the albums where they could benefit so much by releasing a song after an other, but somehow they always stick to the 4 singles max. rule with Britney, don't know why tho

She had a very solid career as a pop star from 1998 to 2011. And thats actually cool considering that generally average pop stars are over after just 3 albums.

Nope, its fine. The image and its data ara besed on "2000s" achievement. "Baby one more time" was released in January 1999 and sold the majority of its units through the 1999 year but its sales also extended through 2000 and its estimated that it sold 7 million units after that year.
