I love it too. It'll surpass 100 million streams on Spotify in the upcoming months. It may not have been a big hit back in 2011 but at least it's getting some recognition now.

It wasn’t like a “huge flop” to be honest (“Radar” was much worse than it) ... “Criminal” at least made the Top 40 in several countries, many airplay charts and even went Top 20 in major markets like France and Canada (it also went #1 in Brazil) and in the USA it did bad compared to the other FF singles but still charted higher than several of her other singles.

The song is doing good on streaming these days because it constantly goes viral on Tik Tok (increasing the demand for it and increasing the playlisting support in consequence) and also because it’s the best aging single from the era , the song sounds better and fresher in 2020 than the other 3 dance singles from FF so “Criminal” won in the long run.

Currently Gold ... But very close to Platinum (probably at 900K or something right now and it has good recurrent streams on every platform so the Platinum eligibility will be a fact and a matter of time).
