              • The email was not fake:

I posted a video here of a fan recording the email he got.
Other fans started bombarding that address asking for sales and they got a reply, weeks later.
It's the email address shown on their website.
Buy and stream Britney's new hot sinlgle: "Make Me...".

Exactly, NOBODY questioned it when it first came to light months ago. Now it's a conspiracy apparently.

Even in this press release, RCA states that "BOMT" is at 27 million worldwide:

Multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning pop icon Britney Spears is one of the most successful and celebrated entertainers in pop history, and makes her triumphant return to national television with this special performance. In a little more than a decade, Spears sold nearly 100 million records worldwide, making her the fourth best-selling female artist ever in America. Born in Mississippi and raised in Louisiana, Spears became a household name as a teenager when she released her first album “…Baby One More Time,” an international hit that broke sales records with more than 27 million copies sold worldwide and is currently 14x Platinum in the U.S. Her musical career boasts nearly 100 million albums sold worldwide and countless awards and accolades, including the 2011 MTV Video Vanguard Award and Billboard’s Best-Selling Female Artist of the Decade (1998-2008). So far, Spears has earned a total of five No.1 debut albums and 24 Top 40 songs in her career. Spears has been nominated for eight Grammy Awards and won for Best Dance Recording in 2005. Her cutting-edge pop concert Las Vegas residency, “Britney: Piece of Me,” at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino has been voted “Best Show in Las Vegas” and “Best Bachelorette Show in Las Vegas.” Spears also has been creating fragrances for over ten years, and recently added two new fragrances giving her a total of 15 fragrances available in 87 countries around the world. She launched her sleepwear line, The Intimate Britney Spears Collection http://www.intimatebritneyspears.us/

                                    Yay!

Plus, should be at 1,015,000 in the USA and 2x platinum including streaming.

So many unfortunate situations prevented Work Bitch to have better peaks!

No lyric video on debut week.
Video search error on premiere week.
Discount in Germany on physical release week (would have peaked higher).

And probably some others here and there...

The "Work Work" version killed the song even faster on radio. In the UK, it was released too late (2 months after it was released in the US).

Work Bitch video should have been released the day the song was released or at least one week after. It deserved to be Top 10 and it could have been Top 10.

"Perfume" is a bigger flop to me, it failed to reach the top 40 in the BB hot 100, it charted worse internationally, it sold less, had less airplay and worse streaming. "Pretty Girls" reached the top 40 on the BB hot 100 for several consecutive weeks, it reached the top 20 in UK, sold more, had more airplay and its music video is VEVO certified.
