    • Britney will always be in this elite group of women who got not one BUT two Diamond albums and based on Pure sales alone. Only Madonna, Whitney, Celine, Mariah, Shania and Adele were the others that achieved that.

I don’t think anyone else will ever get a Diamond album in pure sales (let alone two).

Toxic will be Diamond in 5-6 years... maybe less since streams are always growing

Baby One More Time will take like 9-10 years, but will achieve as well

Based on 67k for "I Wanna Go", it will reach 100 million in 150 days.

And she remains the only female act from her generation to score a Diamond album, let alone two, right?

Of course ... and emphasis in pure sales ... literally the old (pure sales) album Diamond certification in USA was literally the hardest certification any artist could get in the entire music industry... and she got two

Eminem and Britney were the only ones from that generation who got Diamond albums right?

Wow it is going to be an exciting decade ahead with all these milestones on the horizon .

Plus hopefully some new classics to look forward to when she gets back to work

I think there is a time when an artist reaches a point where everything becomes fanbase centered. I think anything Britney releases from now on will be for her fanbase and will only appeal to her base. The classics and GP success is a closed chapter for her.

She will remain a pop icon with great legacy and classics forever though.

I am sure with the right song Britney is capable of at the very least a Make me sized hit, but I would never count her out to comeback stronger.

None argues that but still with nowadays tricks can score an 1# song ala rain on me...it's not that difficult

Make me is a flop and an awful song

I think another #1 album is very easy to get if she strategically book the “right week”. In a non-competitive week I think an album can hit #1 with like 30K units or something ... and it would be cool for her to have a #1 in 4 different decades.

... However a #1 song is hard for her, even with a collab.

That's your (wrong) opinion but a Platinum Top 15 hit is objectively not a flop.

Make me peaked at 17 if i recall correctly ( hitting that position twice in different weeks )

Her last Top 15, if memory is correct. was the mighty Work Bitch which peaked at 12 ?

I got them mixed up and yes. Anyway Top 20 is still far from a flop, especially since it peaked twice like you said.

Oh I completely agree. Top 20 is nothing to be ashamed of. And I definitely think she can get herself back there again. Britney should never be counted out.
