Pollstar always underestimates her. There's no data for the Asian tour, so they "estimated" that the first 9 dates only made $7.6 million with 56k attendance. That would mean 6.2k average per show, and she performed at 11-16k arenas, so they would have to be half empty in order for that to be true. Clearly that was not the case.

I'm not surprised that they underestimated the Circus and Femme Fatale tours. I've always found the Femme Fatale tour gross to be quite underestimated. I'm aware that the tour underperformed in Europe, but still.

The Latin American leg averaged $2,140,134 per show (from 5/12 shows reported), and the two biggest shows never got reported (she performed for 45k people in Santiago, and for 40k people in Mexico City). $2,140,134 x 12 = $25,681,608.

    November 15, 2011: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil - Praça da Apoteose - 13,048 / 35,000 - $1,493,260
    November 18, 2011: São Paulo, Brazil - Arena Anhembi - 20,644 / 35,000 - $2,224,890
    November 20, 2011: La Plata, Argentina - Estadio Ciudad de La Plata - 21,717 / 35,613 - $2,535,020
    November 28, 2011: Caracas, Venezuela - Universidad Simón Bolívar - 8,474 / 8,474 - $3,183,790
    December 10, 2011: San Juan, Puerto Rico - Coliseo de Puerto Rico - 10,634 / 11,637 - $1,263,710

It's hard to estimate the European shows, some of them did well, some of them did pretty bad (particularly the UK shows, aside from the O2 and Manchester Arena which did okay). But the tour made $8,239,254 from 10 European shows (average of $823,925 per show). $823,925 x 26 = $21,422,050.

    October 6, 2011: Paris, France - Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy - 14,883 / 16,544 - $1,434,485
    October 8, 2011: Antwerp, Belgium - Sportpaleis - 9,323 / 11,868 - $858,151
    October 16, 2011: Stockholm, Sweden - Ericsson Globe - 12,011 / 12,861 - $1,207,443
    October 18, 2011: Cologne, Germany - Lanxess Arena - 7,203 / 8,000 - $552,093
    October 24, 2011: Dublin, Ireland - The O2 - 7,797 / 12,193 - $762,817
    October 27-28, 2011: London, England - The O2 Arena - 24,902 / 26,550 - $1,818,120
    October 31, 2011: London, England - Wembley Arena - 3,103 / 9,752 - $252,020
    November 3, 2011: Newcastle, England - Metro Radio Arena - 4,387 / 8,401 - $375,153
    November 6, 2011: Manchester, England - Manchester Arena - 12,653 / 13,644 - $978,972

And then we have the North American leg, which grossed $22,859,384 from 23 shows reported (not including Puerto Rico). Average of nearly $1 million per show (a pretty solid result). Like matheusbelmont said, the North American leg must have grossed around $38-40 million give or take a couple of millions.

    June 16, 2011: Sacramento - Power Balance Pavilion - 12,065 / 12,863 - $1,069,162
    June 20, 2011: Los Angeles - Staples Center - 12,339 / 12,339 - $1,581,707
    June 24, 2011: Anaheim - Honda Center - 14,058 / 14,058 - $1,273,852
    June 28, 2011: Portland - Rose Garden - 7,718 / 8,717 - $513,297
    July 4, 2011: Winnipeg - MTS Centre - 7,844 / 8,368 - $832,940
    July 12, 2011: Dallas - American Airlines Center - 11,540 / 12,776 - $1,181,767
    July 13, 2011: Houston - Toyota Center - 11,345 / 11,345 - $1,082,552
    July 15, 2011: New Orleans - New Orleans Arena - 12,839 / 12,839 - $1,129,528
    July 17, 2011: Atlanta - Philips Arena - 13,014 / 13,495 - $988,235
    July 18, 2011: Nashville - Bridgestone Arena - 11,883 / 12,732 - $575,699
    July 20, 2011: Orlando - Amway Center - 11,215 / 12,953 - $1,032,656
    July 22, 2011: Miami - American Airlines Arena - 12,967 / 13,000 - $1,289,510
    July 23, 2011: Jacksonville - Jacksonville Arena - 6,001 / 6,441 - $419,736
    July 28, 2011: Auburn Hills - The Palace of Auburn Hills - 13,144 / 13,144 - $989,737
    July 31, 2011: Washington, D.C. - Verizon Center - 13,923 / 14,084 - $1,331,270
    August 5, 2011: East Rutherford - Izod Center - 15,274 / 15,274 - $1,750,058
    August 6, 2011: Atlantic City - Boardwalk Hall - 8,925 / 11,277 - $969,570
    August 9, 2011: Hartford - XL Center - 9,452 / 10,905 - $577,556
    August 11, 2011: Montreal - Canada - Bell Centre - 8,772 / 10,445 - $942,113
    August 13-14, 2011: Toronto - Air Canada Centre - 21,239 / 21,239 - $2,375,640
    August 17, 2011: Grand Rapids - Van Andel Arena - 7,389 / 9,444 - $399,018
    August 19, 2011: Pittsburgh - Consol Energy Center - 9,620 / 13,125 - $553,781

It's all confusing, but I think it's clear the $68.7 million estimate was way off. That's what happens when most of the shows don't get reported for whatever reason, even shows that clearly were very successful.

    Mexico City, Mexico:

    Montpellier, France:

    Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic:

Of course, these never got reported.

Both Circus Tour and Femme Fatale Tour were understimated by Pollstar. They don't have all dates on their database, so they estimate low numbers in 2009 and 2011 for her and any artist. Rihanna's Anti Tour is there with $60 million when she did more than that only in Europe lol

The most lowkey case is around $144-147 million in 2009 and 84-87 million in 2011.

    Circus Tour:
    North America - $83.7 million and 953.4K
    Europe - $32-34.5 million and 405-410K
    Oceania - $27.5-28.5 million and 212-215K

    $144-147 million and 1.570-1.578 million.

    Femme Fatale Tour:
North America (first leg) - $39-40 million and 415-425K
    Europe - $21-23 million and 245-255K
    Latin America - $24-26 million and 240-250K

    $84-87 million and 905-925K.

Its original and official gross was $68,7 million and the 2016 inflation gross is $73 million. (It's been speculated that Pollstar underestimated the tour grossing as many dates were never reported and they just did stadistical estimation to get the numbers).

... -and yeah, the FFT was a decline but it had about 19 dates less than the "Circus Tour" and was still the 3rd biggest female tour of 2011.

Its original and official gross was $131,8 million ... And the 2016 inflation gross is $147 million. It had 97 dates.

It was one of the very first and few female tours that broke the $100million mark before 2010 (don't think there were more than 10 female tours that did it before 2010), breaking that mark was considered a huge milestone in the past decade which was enough to make the "Circus Tour" the 5th highest grossing female tour ever at that time and its officially one of the 20 highest grossing tours of the previous decade.
Thanks, Circus tour gross was very very good!

    HAPPY 16th ANNIVERSARY TO THE ICONIC "I'M A SLAVE 4 U" !!

Lets celebrate the anniversary of one of Britney's most famous and defining songs. A true nailed single where all, song, music video and performance slayed.

"Slave" was an international smash reaching the Top 10 charts everywhere outside US. The song achieved solid chart-runs around the world and its music video received heavy rotation on WW music TV channels.

Out of all the big markets, the song only missed the Top 10 in the Netherlands, Spain and New Zealand. It was a solid Top 10 hit everywhere else.

I believe 179,000 was the highest digital sales week for a female at the time.
