How many singles do you think Britney sold in 2016, including all her old songs! She performed at billboard music awards back in may! She may have sold close to 1 million downloads last year

Well SPS is not only streaming, it also includes tracks equivalent album sales
That's just usa it's not been rolled out worldwide
Who cares? It's all estimations at the end of the day. And you were wrong about Britney Jean not being eligible for Gold.
+1 Even the UK just announced that they will change their rules to be like North America in terms of SPS. If the US and the UK are united, it means like the streaming rules are global. More countries will follow eventually, it is a fact.

Circus is eligible for 2x Platinum, it's actually closer to 3x Platinum

    Track sales - 9,200,000

    Womanizer - 3,500,000

    If U Seek Amy - 1,300,000
    Radar - 600,000

= 544,210,872 streams, assuming 30% comes from the United States = 108,000 (SEA)

280k PURE plus 102k stream sales

    382,000 combined sales
    Pure sales: 275,000
    TEAS: 967,000 ("Work Bitch") + 300,000? ("Perfume") + 300,000? (Album tracks) = 1,567,000 / 10 = 156,700 units

    - Britney's "Work Bitch" is one of the 100 biggest female songs of the last 3 years in US according to kworb. Two other Britney singles are also among the 200 biggest female songs of the last years. Not bad considering she hasn't really had a major hit since 2011.

Note: Kworb is not official or 100% accurate and works on estimations. However its cool to have a rough idea about which females songs could be the biggest ones from the last years.

My Only Wish got 1,274,859 Spotify streams in Denmark this season (from November onwards). 1,274,859 streams = 12,748 download equivalents.

    Certified Gold (30,000) in January 2016 + 12,748 this season = 42,748.

Also 2,727,342 Spotify streams in Sweden since 2013 = 27,273 download equivalents. With downloads and missing streams it's probably around 30-35,000 and should be certified Platinum next season.
