    ^ You're missing Anastacia.

Not That Kind (2000) is certified for 5xGold (750,000), but sales estimations are above 800k.
Freak of Nature (2001) is certified for 3xPlatinum (900,000), but it sold 950k-1M copies.
    Anastacia (2004) is certified for 4xPlatinum (800,000).

Britney has finally reached 1 billion Spotify streams, making her the first female act who debuted last millennium to achieve this.

    Top tracks:

    Scream & Shout: 160 million
    Work Bitch: 70 million
    Toxic: 60 million
Till The World Ends: 45 million
...Baby One More Time: 40 million

Not bad for someone who hasn't had a hit era since streaming took over! She should be among top 15 most streamed females ever.

    On album sales

Where are you getting that from ? Donna Summer album sales in France from 1977-1980 come to over 2 million. A love trilogy, I Remember Yesterday, Bad Girls and Once Upon a Time were all inside the year end top 20 albums and sold over 350K each. The Wanderer, On the Radio, Love to love you baby (the album not the single) all charted inside the top 5 and were certified gold (over 100K at the time).

I think we've known TSC was gold since 2009/2010 iirc.
I hope that we will get confirmation this Sunday

^ It doesn't mean it only sold that, for example "Circus" is certified Platinum in US in 2009 for 1,000,000 but it has sold more than 1,700,000. "In the zone" was certified Platinum in UK for 300,000 but it has sold over 530,000 units. So when you see a certification it doesn't mean that the album only sold exactly that all the time. "Oops" definately sold 1m in Germany hence was certified 3x Platinum given the fact it needed 1,2m or more to get a 4x Platinum cert. Also some European certifications tend to be "undercertified", for example you know that "Circus" is undercertified in France right? So sometimes those certs are not even a real indicator of how much an album has sold.

    Britney: 400k

    Thanks to Gasp from ATRL.
even billboard hasn't official figures from germany! this also a simple estimation by her certifications
these estimates are also to high!
in most cases album certified forward-looking. if an album sold 60k and shipped another 40k - it will certified by bmvi.
"oops" get the 3xplatinum certification in april 2001! i doubt that the album sold another 200k in 2,5 years without any further single.
"britney" get that 1xplatinum in may 2002! i doubt it sell another 100k in 1,5 years without any hit.

if you did some deeper analysis of the german year-end-charts for that time and compared to other albums, these sales are not possible.

in the zone is very near at 200k and it seems unrealistic that the drop from "britney" to "itz" was 50 % ... look at the chart-runs and the year-end-positions ... "itz" seems even better ... and the music-market-decline wasn't 50 % ... so "britney" sold at most 350! actual more 325k!
and oops-sales also to high - max. 950k ... "baby" is more in the range of 800k ...

but i have the feeling that most of you will believe billboatd coz it's billboard even when they just make the same estimations like us

France is a very difficult market to crack for international artists! Britney is one of the few international pop stars that are big here. She is the 23th best selling female of all times (10th international!) with over 2.5 million sold.

I'm not shocked by Christina's sales.. her debut album peaked outside top 40 at #44, Stripped at #56, and so on... but Britney has three number one albums, two number two and rest are top 5 but Britney Jean. They must have released it other week for a top 3 peak

I think that says more about her generation as a whole, rather than Britney Spears' success - some shockingly bad numbers in there.

^ Yep, like I said the "Britney" album did fine in Germany, she wasn't going to pull 3 consecutive 900K / 1m albums in a row, thats actually quite hard to do in Germany especially since 2000, the fact that she already has a 1m selling album there already put her among the few international divas that achieved that, and "Britney" did ok. However and despite the fact that "In the zone" did better in UK and was successful in France I must say it did quite weak in Germany considering the level and quality of hits she had during that era, on the other hand and having said that "Circus" perfomed moderately good there given the circumstances she faced the previous year.

BTW cool that mediatraffic re-estimated her numbers and put "Circus" at 4m WW.

Great sales, 1+ million in Germany is fantastic. Over 2 million sold with her first two albums alone. In the Zone is due for a platinum certification there.

Also cool that the UWC fixed her numbers.
