The album placed as the #64 best selling album of the 00s decade in the US (According to Billboard) and placed as the 34th best selling album of the 00s decade WW according to Mediatraffic.
Very impressive. I think it's also among the Top 60-70 best selling female albums of all time.

I really think it would've sold more in the U.S. with full radio support. Probably closer to 6 million.
I would say even more. Singles are selling the album, not promo that we all crying for.
Yes, promo boots sales for some time. Depends is it Grammy performance or Kids Choice Awards performance, but it doesn't last very long.
True. Definitely over 6 million tbh. It sold so well just based off her name and the huge success of her first two albums.

    UK airplay - in both, year-end airplay charts 2001 & 2002 she didn't have a song in top 50

Same for the rest of the world. Thank God for MTV and Britney's hard core promo back then.
"Britney" did great for all the radio issues and lack of US hits it had. I don't know if there's another album from a pop star that has sold 5M in US without not even one top 20 single.

Very true, not only she has a big career there but she's also very consistent. Or was. ITZ might be eligible for 2x Platinum.

She has 7 Top 5 albums in the country (including a #1) and 20 Top 10 singles.
    Yes. I know.

Canada and Australia are two of the countries where Britney has the most amount of Multi-platinum albums in her career with 5. Do you know if there are other countries that match that? Maybe Russia or South Korea?
    Definitely Russia tbh.

i think her updated certifications in Australia should look like this...

...Baby One More Time - 5x Platinum
Oops!... I Did It Again - 4x Platinum
Britney - 2x Platinum (around 10,000 away from 3x Platinum)
In The Zone - 2x Platinum
Greatest Hits: My Prerogative - 2x Platinum
    Blackout - Platinum
    Circus - 2x Platinum
    Femme Fatale - Gold

Pretty amazing that she managed to go 2x Platinum over 10 years into her career with Circus.
