I don’t know about 2005 but Circus definitely outsold Hard Candy, so that’s accurate.

According to Music and Media,Gold was 20k and Platinum was 30k for international artists in Turkey but Chartmasters estimated Bomt 25k.It should be at least 30k and as for Oops it should be 60k (10xP equals to 2xP in Turkey according to Chartmasters again)

Again according to Billboard Magazine Britney album sold 12 million

60k impossible .. they always exaggerate. There was Ricky Martin madness in turkey but international albums were selling twice the price than turkish albums and pirate cds were selling in every street. People were prefering compilation albums of released by radios.

The thing is that “Circus” made the IFPI list of 2008 based on 1 month shipments, the album was released between November 28 - December 3 of 2008 in most markets. For this reason the album then made the IFPI list of 2009 again ultimately outselling “Hard Candy”.

As of today it’s the biggest female album from 2008 by a Pre-2000 diva on pretty much every metric (sales, shipments, streams, singles digital sales, etc). The original post wasn’t a year-end list.

According to Chartmasters “Circus” has 7,6 million CSPC units and “Hard Candy” has 6 million CSPC units.
