^ Cool. As I posted on the other thread. I estimate the show is breaking the $90m mark around September and could hit the $100m gross in either December or January.

They should discount GH:MP after her performance. it'd do wonders. I know the BBMAs aren't that big but it re-entered the top 30 on iTunes earlier this year without a word from Britney.

The Billboard Awards never score more than 8 million viewers, so don't expect too much.

I expect GHMP or TSC to enter the top 30 on iTunes after her performance, or even top 10 if RCA are smart and discount them.

"Greatest hits: My Prerogative" is her top catalog selling album in the US. If any album has an effect that one will have the biggest.

However, I think some fans are overestimating the power of the BBMA, I mean the effect won't be that big as some think, its not Superbowl. The performance will have a better effect mostly on her new single (if its included on the medley) and its just a promotional tool for both, her image and her upcoming era, thats all, Don't expect all of her past songs and albums rising the charts or anything.

I'm excited to see the effect the segment has on her back catalogue. I hope to god she does not include Pretty Girls. Baby, Slave, Toxic, Piece of Me, Womanizer, Till the World Ends, Work Bitch seem the most obvious to include.

The Singles Collection will doubt shoot up iTunes though I hope the Playlist album doesnt.

I wonder which songs will get the biggest boost on iTunes when she performs. Toxic will probably enter the top 200

Britney Spears to Perform Medley of Greatest Hits at BBMAs

Have you heard the news? Britney Spears will receive this year’s Millennium Award and perform a medley of her greatest hits at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards!

The Billboard Millennium Award recognizes outstanding career achievements and influence in the music industry. Past Billboard Millennium Award recipients include Beyoncé in 2011 and Whitney Houston in 2012.

This year’s show, which will be hosted by hip-hop artist Ludacris and international music sensation Ciara, will showcase big performances, unexpected collaborations and much-discussed pop culture moments. Britney joins previously announced performers Justin Bieber, DNCE, The Go-Go’s, Shawn Mendes, P!nk and collaborations with Nick Jonas, Tove Lo and Demi Lovato.

Multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning pop icon Britney Spears is one of the most successful and celebrated entertainers in pop history with nearly 100 million records worldwide. In the U.S. alone, she has sold more than 70 million albums, singles and songs, according to Nielsen Music.

Born in Mississippi and raised in Louisiana, Spears became a household name as a teenager when she released her first single “…Baby One More Time,” a Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 smash and international hit that broke sales records with more than 27 million copies sold worldwide and is currently 14x Platinum in the U.S. Her musical career boasts countless awards and accolades, including six Billboard Music Awards, an American Music Award and the 2011 MTV Video Vanguard Award.

So far, Britney has earned a total of six No.1 debuting albums on the Billboard 200 chart and 24 Top 40 hit singles on the Billboard Hot 100 – five of which went to No. 1. Spears has been nominated for eight Grammy Awards and won for Best Dance Recording in 2005. Her cutting-edge pop concert Las Vegas residency, “Britney: Piece of Me,” at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino has been voted “Best Show in Las Vegas” and “Best Bachelorette Show in Las Vegas.” She also has been creating fragrances for over ten years, and recently added two new fragrances giving her a total of 15 fragrances available in 87 countries around the world.

glad to know work bitch surpassed the million mark. it is such a good show opener.
"Break the ice" must be around 800,000 units in USA right now, and its certainly eligible for a Platinum certification including streaming.

And yep, at least we got something with +1m sales in US from the "Britney Jean" era. It wasn't the album, but at least the song ("Work Bitch") surpassed the 1m mark in hard / pure sales there.

    Britney Jean should be Gold
270k sold = 290k shipped (RIAA works shipments)
    160k TEA
90k SEA estimate assuming 35% of its streams come from the United States

Definitely eligible for Gold. I hope they do certify it so all of her studio albums are certified.

Don't know about older albums, but "Britney Jean" was released under RCA not Jive, so yep, they can definately certify it Gold whenever they want.

Even "Britney Jean" is now eligible for a Gold certification with the new rules. So I guess these new rules do favour her.

However I'm not expecting anything for the album's performance, her days as an album seller are over. I'm just hoping a comeback for her singles career. Don't forget that in the singles department she's performed better than nearly anyone from her generation in this decade. P!nk, Eminem and Britney Spears have been the most successful acts (from that generation) Singles-wise during the 2010s. With an actual good banger she'll grab another Pop hit single.

I agree. If she can go to several countries in Europe to promote underwear, she can do it for her music.

I think she could still have a FF-like era in terms of chart success and sales (including SPS), if she plays her cards right. Time will tell.
