      • I believe Oops is probably at 20m as well. 19m was just a very safe number for that album. Sales in the USA/Asia/Latin America are probably higher, so I put both numbers. 20m is definitely acceptable.

I still feel like 10.5m is too little in the US, even if it wasn't big at Columbia House I doubt it sold less than 100k, plus, you have to consider further shipments.

Then why you put it at 19m?

Mediatraffic has it at 22m and they're not more or less credible than MJdangerous. And I personally think you underestimated its sales in Europe which is at 4,7m IMO.

I edited my post with both numbers

22m is too much, 19m is a very safe figure, and 20m seems like the best one. It's not too high or too low. 20m should be the roof figure for that album.

What's your breakdown for Oops in Europe? I think it could be higher in some countries

            • ^ Also you're using the word "Shipments" on your post. Yet you're using an 800K figure to "Femme Fatale" in US, instead of its official and RIAA certified shipment of 1 million in US.

                • Britney Spears' sophomore album, Oops!...I Did It Again, dropped 15 years ago, on May 16, 2000, forever changing the landscape not only of millennial pop, but of Spears' trajectory, marking her as Madonna's apparent Queen of Pop successor, as well as a larger-than-life superstar in her own right. The album set a record for the highest album sales in its debut week by any female artist, and subsequently sold over 20 million copies worldwide.

                                • Brazilian sales seems inflated!! Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys were more successful than her here and none of them sold a lot more than 500k here. Madonna gets more than 500k with three of her albums here, but she's more successful than Britney, and all her albums were from the 80s/90s.

                                            Britney Jean - 50,000

Total: 9,425,000+ albums sold in Asia. She was incredibly consistent with her first 5 releases. Adding the remix albums (the first one sold around 35,000 in Japan alone), as well as Glory and other minor releases, she's definitely at over 9.5 million albums sold in Asia. I think her first two albums sold more, but overall MJD did a great job as usual.

As far as international females go, I think only Mariah, Celine, Madonna, Whitney and Enya have outsold her in Asia. Avril is huge in Asia, but I don't think she has outsold Britney. Even though she is hugely successful in Japan (around 4.5 million albums sold), it seems like Britney is bigger in other countries, like South Korea. Avril should be around 8 million albums sold in Asia, with her debut selling around 3 million.

I think it's safe to say Britney is among the top 10 biggest international females in Asia. Very impressive, especially considering she has only visited Japan and South Korea (where she hasn't promoted in 8 and 13 years, respectively).

Now I need "Blackout" going Platinum, wasn't it at +295K (or something like that) in pure sales there?
