Britney’s music is so used in movies, series, talent shows, ads, and samples.

Legendary catalogue, no wonder Rolling Stone named her the most influential female pop star since Madonna last year when they added her songs to their all time list.

It’s only a matter of years if the album has indeed stabilised.
we will rise to meet the challenge every time

I think it’s matter of a few months now. It will definitely hit Platinum this year.

                                  • “The Singles Collection” was the 78th biggest album of 2021 in UK (according to the year end chart).

Do we know how many units has it moved this year so far? Instinct?

It moves around 1.2K units per week, so 26-30K so far.

Thanks for the info. We can expect 52K-60K units by the end of the year.

                                        • Can we talk about Britney’s impressive streak of 14 consecutive Top 10 singles back to back in Ireland from 2001-2008?

                                          I’m A Slave 4 U - #6
                                          Overprotected - #9
                                          I’m Not A Girl Not Yet A Woman - #3
                                          I Love Rock N Roll - #8
                                          Boys - #10
Me Against The Music - #1
                                          Toxic - #1
                                          Everytime - #1
                                          My Prerogative - #1
                                          Do Somethin - #4
                                          Gimme More - #2
                                          Piece Of Me - #1
                                          Break The Ice - #7
                                          Womanizer - #2

The streak was broken when the “Circus” (single) missed the Top 10 and peaked at #12.

Prior to “I’m A Slave 4 U” the streak had been broken when “Don’t Let Me Be The Last To Know” peaked at #12.

                                          ——

Britney’s streak of 14 consecutive Top 10 hits in Ireland (in just 7 years, 2001-2008) is the second longest streak I found for a female artist after Madonna and her impressive 27 consecutive Top 10 hits streak (from 1984-1993). I couldn’t find any other female artist who had a longer streak than Britney’s (not even Rihanna). Britney seemed to be Pop Royalty in Ireland and scored a total of 25 Top 10 singles there (24 as a lead artist).

I've always found this super impressive. She was on FIRE in Ireland from 2003-2005. I think that was actually her peak and not 1999-2000 like in the rest of the world (except Japan where she also peaked during that period).

Both Everytime and Toxic were among the Top 10 biggest songs of 2004 (at #6 and #7, respectively) while Greatest Hits: My Prerogative was one of the Top 10 biggest albums of the year as well at #8.

I mean, look at these chart runs:

                                            Me Against the Music:
                                            01-03-03-07-07-14-13-18-22-28-35-35-50-OUT (1 week at #1)

                                            Toxic:
                                            01-01-01-01-01-02-05-05-09-13-16-20-24-30-34-45-OUT (5 weeks at #1)

                                            Everytime:
                                            01-01-01-01-01-02-05-05-09-13-16-20-24-30-34-45-OUT (5 weeks at #1)

                                            My Prerogative:
                                            01-04-07-07-17-17-17-17-19-21-38-37-50-OUT

She also sold 41,829 tickets in Dublin during the Onyx Hotel Tour, including 25,367 in one night which was actually one of her biggest attendances at the time.

Britney is easily one of the biggest pop stars of all time in Ireland.

                                                  • GH:MP sold 5,430 copies in first week
                                                  • Circus (album) sold 7,222 copies in it's first week and that's her highest first week sales there
                                                  • Britney was the first and one of only two females this millennium to have scored four Number 1 singles in less than 12 months over 2003-2004. Ariana Grande managed the same 15 years later.
                                                  • Britney scored more Number 1 singles than any other female artist in the Noughties, with 5 (Me Against The Music, Toxic, Everytime, My Prerogative, Piece Of Me).
                                                  • Britney has scored more Number 1s in Ireland than in any other European country. The only country has had more chart-topping success in is Canada, where she has claimed nine Number 1 hits.
                                                  • The pop princess' most streamed song? It's her 2004 chart topper Toxic, which has racked up 3.17 million plays since the Official Charts Company began compiling data for Ireland in 2017.(as of 2020)
