    • Does anybody know how many monthly streams Britney got this year? I wonder if its possible for 2 billion this year.

        • ^Thanks! I guess HMC would have to blow up in the coming weeks for that to happen.

            • Its pretty insane how effortless radio airplay has been this era. Im not used to it. I remember in the 2010s filling out weekly radio surveys with a vpn we would link on Breatheheavy hoping it would help with call out scores then filling out mediabase forms. Instead of doing my homework lol and it felt pointless. Now its smashing out the gate.

                • Yes at Britney getting another top ten hit this year!

Too bad Work Bitch didn't make it, it was so close.

I am genuinely hopeful that with a good song and more immediate promo (playlisting, a music video, and a radio deal), Britney could get higher than this with her actual lead, maybe even top 3 if she releases in a weak week. Go Britney!

You combine that and it’s like the timing is perfect to collab and release a song that generates enough demand, buzz and hype resulting in wide support from radios, playlists and the industry.

Even with good marketing and all the money you want. Pair some nearly 80 y.o dude with some irrelevant diva that no one cares about and they won’t receive 5% of the support this is getting.
I don't think Elton really deserves much credit for this, I legitimately don't know one person who checked this song out because of him.

People crediting him for Cold Heart's success were also wrong, since it was obviously Dua that carried the song.

I hate seeing these sorts of delusional comments. The song wouldn't exist without Elton. Same for Cold Heart. I guess we will have to wait for Britneys next solo single to see if she can replicate this success alone.

It’s actually both, Elton wouldn’t have these hits without Dua and Britney as well.

The song isn't doing well because of how good it is, it's doing well because of who it is by. Songs that do well on the basis of their quality take a while to show their effect, and are prime examples of sleeper hits. Songs that debut high do so more because of the anticipation associated with them, which can be attributed to their singers.

We should avoid ignorant generalisations like these and be aware of the typical chart canon when commenting in a topic about chart success.
